He is doing it for he's half-sister, she have's nothing to do with what is going on but she is hearing all about her mom from other people, paper's ,and kids from her school. All he ask is for people to stop all the bashing for he's half-sister's sake. she is young and she should not have to be hurt by what is going on between her mother and dale jr.

Yes, us Dale Jr lovers have been hard on Teresa, but teresa doesn't see that, she doesn't go on chat lines etc on line, but the media has really been reaming her big time especially back in the south.. Yes, he is a big family man, and poor Taylor yes she is 18, but she has to hear all this crap from her friends, and its the media who has really made Teresa the total Ax in the coffin of the 8... I see where he is coming from, but he is not mending any fences here, or trying to repair any bad relationship with her, they have not seen eye to eye since he was 6 years old,nothing is going to change......Its all a done deal nothing will change, he is not playing nice, I think he is worried more about Taylor, Teresa can take care of herself.. I've been real rough on Teresa, but maybe I will lighten up, heck theres nothing I can do...but theres a new year coming, Go Dale Jr Go...

Jr is a nice guy. And a man who knows how important family is. In my opinion, I don't think he gave two hoots about taking the #8 with him. He was being loyal to his fan base who wanted him to retain that number. Kudos to him for that. But now that it's over and done with, I'm sure he's not happy with people talking about ANYONE in his family like that. Him and her may not get along well, but she was still his fathers wife. And Jr had a LOT of respect for his father.
Just my opinion. Could be wrong, could be right. I know no more than anyone else, except what we all here and see in the media.

I think its for his half sisters sake. Taylor really doesnt need to hear her mother talked about the way people (including myself) have been doing. No, I cant stand the woman but I can see Jr. coming to his little sisters defense.
What would not making the chase have anything to with it? Nothing.

I don't know why people insist on making something noble out of it like protecting his sister. He was probably told to chill by his PR people or Theresa's lawyers. He's not a saint people. He's a spoiled brat.

I can't quite figure that out either...he says for everyone to be kinder to Thersa but as he's talking his eyes aren't showing it. Maybe she's warned him. Anywho I don't like her AT ALL!
