Ok I'm not really serious, I jsut wondered what people would say.....but to the 'Adventure Man'.....look hypothetically this is entirely plausible except from a legal perspective on who owns what land and where I can/cant go....also the possibility of getting shot/killed my your competitors......finally think of it this way.....if those countries can get away with it, why wouldnt you....theyre still only people (just with lots of guns etc).......Also to 'desertviking_00' you need nuclear engineering to operate a submarine about as much as you need automotive engineering to drive a car......and since when does spelling have to do with anything like this? engineers cant spell either :P j/k

Russia still makes and sells ships and subs. However, a nuclear one may be out of the question as it will probably be considered a warship or something like that. Now, a "nuclear powered" research vessel is a different story. But still, getting the material and handling it is not an easy task. As it stands there are only two bases, AFAIK, in the USA that service nuclear ships: San Diego and Norfolk. I am sure Groten and Pasagula where they make then handle them. But, not service them.

A lot of countries don't want nuclear vessels anywhere near them like Japan and Australia.

What you really need to do is contact the Office of Naval Reactors in Washington DC and ask to buy their nuclear sub thats actually a research vessel. It has an articulating arm, a bay, and view ports. Plus, it was designed to be submerged for about 30 days at a time. Which is what you will need for oil exploration. Not even those unmanned submersables can last for that long!

This is what happens when you watch too much TV, smoke too much dope and drink too much alcohol. The ridiculous suddenly becomes plausible at the expense of proper spelling and rationality.

Even if you could string a coherant sentence together in the English language, kid, a sub wont get you what you want.
