That's a really useful tool which can help you.
This would be my other suggestion:

This link has a lot of information about what you can do to lose weight, such as eating better, exercising more, and staying active instead of sitting at a computer asking questions on Yahoo Answers. ;)
But seriously, it's a hard thing to contend with in today's society, and I think that if you can just stay away from fatty foods or things high in sugar (I know it's hard! I'm 22 and it's still hard to not have ice cream!), and if you can go out and play after school (like get into a sport, or gardening, even just dancing or rollerskating), you can really shed some weight. At the same time, some of this may be baby fat still waiting to shed, so don't be too hard on yourself. Just stay active and focused on a goal!
Good luck!

On the BMI chart, anything over 141 for 5'3" is 25% body fat, which is overweight.
You are still growing, unlike your sister. You will get taller until about two years after your period started.
Do 3 sets each of 10 reps of pushups, situps, obliques, and curlups every day.
Walk whenever you can, take stairs as a habit vs. elevators.
Do some aerobic exercise 3 - 6 days a week, for about 30 minutes.
Avoid fried, fast, and junk food, even diet junk food.

My sister and brother were exactly like that at 12, maybe heavier. They are in their 30's now and has been relatively thin most of their adult life (except that short time when my sister was pregnant).
Don't stress about it. You're going to learn bad habits and develope a bad image of yourself. Just be happy to be you but keep active. The lbs will probably shed themselves off when the time is right..

No 12 yr old should weight 140 pounds unless you are a tall boy.
Re-evaluate your diet and start jogging or running one mile a day, youwill see and feel a difference in a week.

well, realize that muscle weighs more than fat and you're pretty tall too (taller than me anyway, lol, and i'm 15) so as long as your exersizing, i'm sure you're fine. and since you're only 12, you're body's gonna go through some weight and height changes that won't make any sense, but it's part of growing up.

You are still a child. I hate to say it, but it is true. No, you are not fat, stop comparing yourself to girls/women older than you. You will come into your own in time. I was a little pudgy at 12 as well...it all dropped off once I hit 13. Try to think about the good things about yourself and not if you are fat.
