Specifically: Amendment XIV

Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

I have seen many FUNDIES claim that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry. Yet, the US Constitution clearly states that they can, and inherit, and provide health insurance/ care for their children.

1)How do you reconcile your faith with this amendment?

2)AND How does it reflect on you when homosexuals fight and die for your right to believe the way you want to believe if you wish to take their rights away?

You are a fundie. My family is from this country and fought in EVERY war. Gays have fought and died in EVERY war.

The example is on par. Do you know the 14th Amendment at all?

If you enjoy a RIGHT, then so shall all other AMERICANS. What, you don't see homosexuals as American?

Your god's morals interfere with EVERYONE's rights. SInce we talk of the past, understand that the whites took the idea of democracy from us, the Haudenosaunee (the world's oldest democracy.) And yes, Oneidas have fought against the early colonists and FOR the Revolution (those rights) AND FOR the Civil War. And GAYS have died all the way through, side by side with heteros.

So who's morals are you talking about? Surely not mine. You are talking about a religion that believed in MANIFEST DESTINY (since we get to invoke our forefathers) as a place to find morals. Sorry. You are quite mistaken.

It has never occurred to me, either as a Christian nor an American citizen that Ammendment XIV had anything to do with marriage or child rearing.
of course, I'm an old fashioned girl who thinks that children come from a man and a woman in a committed marriage; not a sperm bank.

We are the ones (although I would not consider myself a "fundie" (?) ) who are trying to preserve the Constitution, and not only preserve that document, but also preserve the way of life and the very moral fabric of our society; you are the ones who are looking for change, and it is in your agenda to make those changes regardless of the rights of any other individuals including God Himself.
Also, the stupid example you give is just that: stupid. What you have posted does not infringe on anyones right - hey, if you are a female and have a child, if that father is a homosexual, or even a zebra, yep, you are correct: they have to pay child support and that child has every right to medical care, etc.. thats true. So whats your point?
How exactly do you expect that two men are going to have a child, or two women?
Hey, if they do, then yep, that child gets all the same rights that I get, and that their PARENTS GET ALREADY.

Fight and die for whos rights? Most of us who are 55 or older have more male relatives dead than we have alive, since the korean war, wwII and even Vietnam, so don't even try preaching that bullshit to me;

We all had them coming home dead, and it would have been a horrible insult to that soldier if his family would have acting in that way.
This generation thinks war is something you watch on tv. You have the damn nerve to suggest that its the gays who are fighting and dying for the rights you enjoy today?

What's equally important is that many people forget the Constitution clearly states that there shall not be a religious test for higher office, but that's long since fallen by the wayside. I understand there are polls indicating people will vote for a homosexual theist before they vote for a heterosexual atheist.

just because man en-acts a law does not change God's position on the subject. Man is responsible on an individual basis for what they chose to do in life. An act of sin to God may not be against the laws of man. God will still judge that person on the final day of judgment when the Lord Jesus returns.
