I have a job interview at community market which is a groc. store tommorow, and i have 2 facial piercings, they are just studs but im worried i will not get the job b/c of them. I cant take them out or my holes will close up, and obviously i cant afford to go out and buy clear ones before my interview. So any advice, will my piercings affect my chances of getting a job?

If you want a professional position, LOOK LIKE A PROFESSIONAL.
My company would NOT hire you if you had crap stuck in your lips, nose, and eyebrows.

As a retail manager, I wouldn't hire you. It is unprofesional looking, and piercings have the potential to offend/upset customers. A grocery store??They may hire you, but it probably depends on how desperate they are, and how many other applicants they have. I would definately move you to the bottom of the list. Maybe you should have thought about this before you got the piercings. I would say it is time to grow up...Lose the piercings and join the real world.

In a word: Yes. In some companies the hiring manager might not say it matters, but piercings mean different things to different people. Ever see a banker, lawyer, doctor or dentist with a piercing?

It will hurt your chances of getting a job. Most employers won't tell you that it is because of the piercings. I am sure that would be against the law. I work in a business which works with the public and I know that we won't hire anyone with them.

I would absolutely not hire you for the job. People do not like to look at people with metal protruding from their face. It's not cool like people think it is. I won't even hire someone with a tattoo if it's showing. And I consider myself pretty liberal.
