There is a massive debate between Democrats and Republicans as to whether or not Global Warming is a real phenomenon. Most of the debate is between people who have no clue what the hell they are talking about. About 95% of climatologists think that humans are responsible for the warming of the Earth. Now, if I go to the doctor, and they say that I am sick and that I need to shot of something, I'm going to trust that my doctors know what the hell they are talking about. I am not a doctor and I am not qualified to decide if that shot is really necessary. The same logic applies to global warming. I am not a climatologist, so my options are, 1) Act like a pompous asshole who thinks he knows more than the experts who spent years in college learning about this stuff, or 2) I trust that the 95% of climatologists know what the hell they are talking about.

The debate is not whether it is real or not, the debate is whether humans are responsible.

Well the debate is weather or not global warming is caused by humans or not.

because global warming is one of earth's natural processes, that has cycled through thousands of times before.

however, Al Gore's documentary An Inconvenient Truth did make some very, very good points to the extent that it is caused by humans.

Okay, here's the thing: If you believe in a god, don't you believe that he/she/it gave us this one earth, our home, and gave us dominion over it? There is a difference between dominion and domination besides the "at." If there is a god, he/she/it must be awfully ticked off that we're screwing up this gift given us. Destroying the planet doesn't mean the Rapture (which I do not believe in for a second) will come any sooner.

If Christians truly value life, they will worry about what's happening to the planet.

Right! It seems kind of obvious to me.

Maybe all the scientists are conspiring to cheat you out of your hard earned money! And they're all atheists, they're working for the devil to cheat you all out of your space in heaven!

It only makes sense to worry about it if you care about the future.
