Is it actually possible for a born-again Christian to backslide?

The Lord will not forsake his inheritance. IF we confess our sins he is faithful to forgive our sins. If we don't confess then he will chastise us so we won't be condemned with the world. We need to renew our minds by the Word of God to sanctify our souls. Our spirits are saved, our soul is being saved, and our bodies will be saved. When a person believes on Jesus he is sealed with the Holy Spirit who is the earnest of our salvation. A person who was truly born again, then God will not allow him to get lost. He belongs to God. We have an advocate, Jesus Christ the Righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins. Once the true believer wakes up from his backsliding, he will be ashamed for what he did against his savior.

You are saved forever, here are some verses: 2 Cor. 1:20-26,
John 10:28, 6:40, 5:24, 3:15, 3:36, 6:47-48, 6:58. Eph. 1:13,
4:30, Rom. 11:30, Acts 10:43, 1 John 5:20, John 20:31, 1 Cor. 12:21, and 2 Tim 2:19. When you walk in darkness as a
believer the Light shines on your back. God can restore them,
Jer. 31:19, 3:13 and Ps. 23:3. Yes, read about the carnal
Corinthians. We either walk in to Spirit or don't walk in the
Spirit.

To say you can lose your salvation is calling God a liar. He
promises Eternal life. This is basic doctrine. You can't
grow as a Christian unless you adhere to this basic truth.

When a baby is born, he first learns to crawl, then to walk, and then to run. There are many stumbles and falls along the way.

When a person is BORN AGAIN in Christ, it is the same thing all over again.

God forgives us and sets us back upon the path.

You cannot lose your salvation. Period. The "backslidden" concept was from the word showing up just a few times in the Old Testament, and always in context of keeping the law (and we're not under the law. We're under grace, not the law). It is never applied to the Christian under grace in the New Testament. NEVER.

If you fall into sin, Jesus will bring you back. Jesus leaves the 99 to go get the one.

It is impossible to lose your salvation.

Once saved, always saved.

Jesus saves completely.

It is possible for Christians to backslide, but thanks to Jesus He is waiting with open arms for them to return to Him.

You cannot lose your salvation. The Scriptures say: "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
