I have tried to figure out what girls look for in men by observing the couples who come into my store (I am the supervisor) and see what the guys have in common. The only thing I can really see is that all the guys with girls my age (early twenties) buy alot of beer! Sometimes nothing but case loads of alcohol.
I have always heard that girls today drink and party non-stop, but that presents a problem for me. I have never had a drink in my life and can't start ( coming from a long line of of alcoholics). I used to be very shy but it is starting to go away. i am just worried that when the issue of drinking comes up with a girl, none will ever see me again when they find out I am always sober. What should I do?

DO NOT start drinking just for girls.
You can't start doing something that could ultimately ruin your life just to impress girls.
I know that I, personally, as a girl, find it despicable how drinking is now practially a requirement to have fun these days. I would never date a guy who drinks alot, in fact I would prefer if he was completely sober.
I know many people whose lives have been completely torn apart because of their drinking problems, or because they were close to someone who is an alcoholic. It's just not worth the temporary high that drinking gives you. There are plenty of other ways to have fun, and plenty of girls who will be grateful that you can stay away from the drink.
Don't worry, not every girl parties non stop, and you'll meet them eventually!

Not every girl is the same, so not every girl is going to want to get drunk to have a good time. I personally don't have to drink to have a good time, and like a guy that can do the same.
If a girl has a problem with you wanting to remain sober, then you don't really want her in your life. Find someone with similar interest and wants for their lives.

Definitely not....Why would a Woman want to be with a drunk guy in public or anywhere for that matter, making a fool of himself because he has been drinking? Most girl's usually go for the wrong type of Guy, if she gets upset and doesn't want to see you anymore because you don't drink, She has some problems and didn't truly or genuinely care about you.

There are plenty of women that aren't big drinkers, I know plenty of people that are my age and older ( I'm old) that do not drink at all. If you choose not to drink that is your personal choice, and you can still hang out with people that do- Be strong, the people I know that don't drink, do so for the same reason, alcoholism runs in their families as well..

Most women will prefer a sober guy - a drunken guy may tell you all sorts of lovely things ('I've always loved you!!') but they'll all be meaningless. It leaves us confused as to how they're really feeling. Some men can get aggressive after drinking, some guys will cheat on their girlfriends after a skinful.. So, tell me, what self respecting woman would PREFER a guy who drinks?

Just be yourself, if necessary explain what you have just told us, i come from a long line of alchoholics as well and feel it is necessary for me to be careful around alchohol. I know plenty of girls who dont drink and not to mention, alot of time the guys are the ones who are truely drinking the alchoholic beverages, or at least significantly more than the women. i hope this helped at least a little, oh, also, just be confindent that is the sexiest trait a man could have and it will surely distract the girls from your non-alchoholism. =]

Hell no..because it will become an issue eventually. Been there, done that. It's fun to party and have a few drinks but when it becomes an everyday thing, it will affect the relationship in a negative way.

I look at drinking as a weakness, and men that do it as sissys. U r strong 4 avoiding a temptation, and smart bc u want 2 live a healthy life. That's what a good woman truly wants.

its okay i think you being yourself is more attractive than drinking alot...personally i dont find drunk guys very attractive...also since you are sober, youre probably a nice guy, and a lot of girls love nice guys! there are some girls who just party and drink but definitely not every girl is like that. most girls just like nice, sincere guys.
