Growing up my friend played a lot of FPS's such as counter strike and such. He joined the air force and trained in security forces, he became a master marksman in the air force, I was just wondering if there is anyway playing games such as CS can improve your chances at having good aim in real life lol, or if its just a coincidence...

It won't help your shoot well but it will help you develop a good tactical mind. The army uses video games to train soldiers. It makes you learn how to move correctly inside building, how to move to take a defended objective and such but your actual aim will not get better.

Not at all in my opinion. Equating a game to real life is foolish. Take a couple training classes and you will realize that playing a game does not prepare you in any way shape or form to real life.

When the enemy is shooting at you for real, you behave a bit differently than on a never ending game. The finality tends to be a bit different, as in a lot more final.

I highly doubt playing a video game will improve your aim. If you want to improve your aim, get in some range time.

Hand/eye coordination skills can be learned from a game, but that is all. Recoil, breathing, and important mental obstacles cannot be solved by a game.

No, but it's a coincidence that seems to happen often. Perhaps it's just the interest, but perhaps it's the hand eye coordination too?

i think it would, hand eye coordination and all. I dont think every person who plays FPS's all day would qualify as a master marksman.
If it did help im sure it would be pretty limited
