shop for the answers they want to hear? It is not logical to chose to only see and not hear. A wise person weighs what he sees and hears and then ponders God's word to find the truth. Only when a person searches to know ( prove) God , is it revealed to Him. Searching to disprove is not an act of faith.
An act of faith in (and not out) is the way to achieve proof in which many request. When this is done , the feeling of joy and love is to much to contain and you just want to share the good news of the gospel.

1 Corinthians 2:
6. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

"A wise person weighs what he sees and hears and then ponders God's word to find the truth."
That sentence is a contradiction. You can't be wise if you ponder God's word to find the truth.

How about we agree to disagree?
You can say that we have no proof without the Bible. I say you with the Bible have no proof within the book itself.
We both express our opinions, but I do not claim a stake on the truth of everything. Believe what you wish to believe, and let me do the same. Agree?

Most atheists I know started out as religious people, and many of us had pretty serious emotional repercussions at the utter lack of evidence of truth to the religion. I didn't start out looking to "disprove" anything. If there's no evidence something is real, there's a pretty darn good chance it isn't.

Yes, I agree. Why don't people want to hear the good news??
Why do people pretend that Cthulu will not devour them and they only way to a quick obliteration is by worshiping the mighty One who lies not dead, but dreaming, beneath the seas?
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

I think it's sad. But thank you for being bold and speaking out for God, when the world doesn't want to hear it.

Huh?
Not quite sure what you are talking about...
An act of Faith is not a noble thing, it is pride in not thinking.
I don't understand how a 'person of faith' is held in such high regard, surely, showing faith in something is merely parading your inability (or unwillingness) to think critically.
