Do you really trust the Germans and the French that much?

Some people are really stupid if they think the threat of a few Nukes would keep the new improved Russian Federation in their box, mass infantry and tank attacks were always their specialties.

The West needs an increase in conventional forces with the back up of the Americans just like in the Cold War, as just a few nukes were not enough to control the Russians.

Anyway why isn't the superior American Forces winning in Iraq? they have Nukes too.

The idea is to have forward deployed assets able to react in support of NATO. Men and equipment close to the most likely area of deployment.

I don't know how many, but we don't need them there. Europe has finally made peace with itself. Russia is still a threat, but France and the UK have nukes so it's unlikely that they would provoke the west. If you study how empires work, you will see the reasons for them being there
