If they like the way she looks, then yes.....
but that is all it would be based on - LOOKS- not personality.

It's been happening since the beginning of time! It doesn't really matter if the guy is popular or social and it works both ways. Many times a girl has a crush on a guy that she doesn't really know either. It sounds as though someone has a "crush" on you to and you can't make any sense of it because you don't really know each other and you may find that silly or stupid!
Look at it this way...what is a crush? It's an infatuation and most times a total fantasy. It often begins with the way someone looks, the way they speak and even what they wear. It depends on what the other person perceives to be a vital attribute or attractive in some way. In high school and often in college being an underclassman may have something to do with a persons shyness or reticence. Teens are often very shy and no one is more shy than a person who sees the other party as someone who is very popular, very pretty/handsome, very intelligent yet fun to be with or someone who is terrific in sports and has all kinds of people hanging around them all the time. It's makes a person really believe they'd never stand a chance and it's much easier, so they think, to have a crush on someone than be rejected!
I remember having a crush on a guy in High School who was older than I was by two years! I'll never forget the first time I saw him. He was so handsome I thought I must be hallucinating. I also loved the way he dressed and the way he walked...just so self assured. Of course because of the age difference we were never in the same class so all I could do was watch him as he walked down the hallways to and from class. He always seemed to be by himself too and I had never heard him speak to anyone. I asked about him and no one knew much other than his name, which was Peter. There came a day when the school was putting on a show for the general public and the narrator was going to be a guy named Peter. I found out that it was he and bought a ticket right away. On that evening, I heard his speaking voice for the first time. It was sooooo deep and smooth I couldn't believe my ears. I got up the nerve to introduce myself to him in order to compliment him on the great job he did and then the weirdest thing happened. As we began to talk he asked if I was related to two guys who happened to be my brothers! It turned out that his brother was one of their best friends!!! They didn't look anything alike and I never knew his brother's last name so I never made the connection. The upshot of all of this was that Peter began to say hello at school, join me for lunch when he could and suddenly began to accompany his brother when he came over to see my brothers! Peter and I dated for a short time and it was a great summer while we did. So you see, it's not that silly after all!

Not only possible but HIGHLY LIKELY! Men are attracted to a woman by her looks first, and when they see someone attractive, they are sometimes smitten right off the bat! It's one of the things about men that drive women a little crazy. How can you have a crush on someone you don't even know?? But they do, and age doesn't really change that behavior (or at least the tendency) all that much.

The simple answer is yes; it is possible but not very likely since he is very popular in school. They can single out the girl if they are planning a cruel joke on her, want to use her, want to ridicule her, or for some other negative reason. So if you or someone you know is the object of this type of attention, I suggest that you tread carefully and be vigilant .if it turns out to be for real, then good. But if it isn't, then you can avoid some nasty outcomes.

Infatuation and liking someone because their looks is very true but may seem so shallow.
If a guy isn't jaded, stuck up or not down to Earth yes.
But, it is possible. I have heard that many of times. His friends might be against him because of her race, social economic status, her religion, where she lives, her grades, etc. A jock could say wow she is cute and smart I would like to get to know her but she doesn't hang out in my click and maybe I;ll ask some of my friends or some of her friends about her interests, family, classes, etc.

Yeah I reckon they can, Look at the internet, so many people fall in love without even seeing that person.
Sometimes it can just be a look that someone gives another person to make them have a crush on them.

Yeah! Of coarse they can.
It's the same as when a girl singles out a guy that they have never talked to.

in most cases it is possible but sometimes u have to be careful cuz some guys just do it because they make a pact with their other "cool guys" to see who can get with the not so popular gal. Just be yourself and everything should be just fine
