I was reading about food combining, and it said carbs and protein together are bad, is there any proof to this or is it a known fact?

there is a lot of logic behind food combining but not very much science. I practice some of the basic principles but mainly because I work from home am able to graze all day. many people that suffer from bloating and other stomach problems after eating would probably benefit by following some of the basic principles.

unfortunately grazing s not optimum in our society where many people claim to have have insufficient time to eat healthy in any form.

Vegetables are carbs too. Some contain simple carbos and most are complex carbos. It is not true that a carb/protein combination is bad. It is the simple carbs and saturated fats that are causing problems in obesity, heart, pancreas, diabetes, cholesterol and high blood pressure.

It is my lifestyle now. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs/14kg and gained better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs/49kg for more than a year, with more fruits and complex carbs.

Details such as my experience, meals, snacks, recipes, foods to buy, reading labels, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog

I have heard that protein burns carbs, but I don't know why it would be a bad thing.
