Have you been caving? There are speleological/caving groups in all capital cities and most universities. Contact them for advice, you will find them very helpful. Every State and Territory has caves. It is fun and adventurous and you are in the middle of nature.

Take them camping for a weekend Teach them how to make a fire and pitch their own tent. Go for a hike to look at animals and plants too. Show them how to bait a fishing pole and have them catch their own fish for dinner. Have fun no matter what you decide to do.
