Darwin admitted that millions of ‘missing links,’( transitional life forms), would have to be discovered in the fossil record to prove the accuracy of his theory that all species had gradually evolved by chance mutation into new species.
So evolution is still a theory as are other interpretations of creation..? Correct??

Hello, Eartha:

You are correct in your observation because they have not discovered transitional species; in fact, even in the Cambrian Strata, they find complex life forms like you would expect to find in low-lying marshes today.

The trilobite with it's complex multi-faceted eyes that observed in multiple directions have been found in Utah and Nevada with a sandeled-man's footprint, one was compressed under a child's print.

Leaky, while lecturing at the University of Salt Lake, in Utah, avoided a question on Lucy: "how far apart was the monkey skull from the fully articulating knee?"

Under pressure Leakey told the truth, the skull was 50 ft higher than the knee and they were 1 1/2 mile apart. Other "homonoids" are likewise fabricated and Lucy is their best bet. Now Leakey has found humans and monkeys together, and they suggest a revision of their "theories." Yes, evolution is not a fact.

No, you're incorrect.

A scientific theory must be testable and disprovable. Creationism is neither, so it's not a theory. Evolution is based on proven facts, although if new facts came to light conflicting with it, then Evolution would no longer be useful.

Since Darwin proposed his theory in 1859, advances in genetics, zoology and paleantology have strengthened evolutionary theory. Over the last 148 years, millions of fossils have been discovered, including 1000s of fossils of hominids and early humans. Genetic discoveries have confirmed that humans share nearly 99% of their genes with other primate species, building the case for our origins.

We have a ton of transitional fossils but as Dawkins pointed out when ever we find one creationist then claim that we now need two more transitional fossils and so on and so on

and Evolution is a Scientific theory which means that it holds true creation is nothing more than an unproven hypothesis go look up what those two means.

Also just because we may not find a fossil does not mean that creation must be the answer that would be like me saying well I don't know who killed bob so it must have been god.

I'd like to know if anyone has ever found any sort of fossil of the "common ancestor" that both apes and men are said to have evolved from.
I am curious as to why, of all the diverse forms of animal life on the planet ONLY mankind has developed the ability for abstract thought.
Australia, for instance...we are told that evolution is responsible for the different sorts of animals in Australia...but, for some reason, there is no animal to fill the niche that humans fill elsewhere...why not a thinking kangaroo, or a thinking koala bear?? How did man get there in the first place? As far as I know, there are no other apes in Australia...

Just a thought...

No. Evolution is the only theory.

Numerous transitional fossils have been found. Darwin stated that the theory predicts million of intermediate forms, not that the theory depended upon the count. Numerous transitional forms have been found, as predicted.

There is nothing else that qualifies as a theory, because nothing else predicts future finds.

You know what I find pathetic? You are not really seeking answers. You are seeking reassurance from people who think just like you do. How sad.
**************

You are a transitional lifeform from your parents. Your children are/will be transitional from you. We are not going to find crockoducks or any other such creature. Evolution is slow. SLOW. We are ALL transitional lifeforms.

What would disprove evolution as we know it would be if a human bone was found, dated, and placed in the time of the dinosaurs.

Evolution is not just a theory (which I am sure, as I type this, it will be repeated many times because we say it so often.. why isn't it sinking in?). The Theory of Evolution is a scientific theory. In other words, it's a fact. Please look up the definition of "scientific theory".

And no, creation is not an interpretation or alternative to evolution. Creation "science" and ID are based on dogma, not evidence. They have an agenda, and it's not one that seeks the truth.

The theory of evolution has progressed quite a bit since Darwin. See, those who see evolution as the truth are unlike most of the religious: they realize things can change over time and, shocked as you may be to hear this, they don't worship at the feet of Charles Darwin.

Clearly you have no idea what a theory is in science.

A theory is "a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena" [Random House American College Dictionary]. The term does not imply tentativeness or lack of certainty. For instance Human Sexual Reproduction is the theory that explains where babies come from.

Do you know every one of your great grandparents if not those would be missing links too. How does your not knowing your great grandfather disprove anything?

The day of evolution is over. As is the day of the
church as we know it..
Current scientific discoveries are changing the
way we see God, ourselves and our universe.
Not to mention, time and space.
Creational theory is suddenly changing very
fast. New ideas are replacing old notions, and
quantum theory is spearheading the charge.

All the missing links are there! From the most primitive life forms to man.... Have you ever visited any natural history museums? In science most accepted "theories" are based on empirical proofs! In total contradiction to the Bible.
