What was Michael Waltrip thinking?

I can't believe he held up Kahne like that and made him lose the lead to Edwards!
Did Waltrip even realize that what he was doing was going to change the outcome of the race? I know he is a racer, but when he's about to go 3 laps down, that's just ridiculous.
Kahne got robbed, that's what I have to say about it.

I'm not necessarily saying Waltrip was an idiot, so don't flame me, it's just that the race was changed because of him.
And for those who say Kahne should've been able to get by him, it's not as easy as you think when the lapped car is actually trying to stay ahead.

Any driver that ia down 2 laps and about to be lapped again knows to move over,but somebody that is desperate for sponsor time will hold up progression and it seems that Mikey did just that.

I agree that is was uncalled for, but that's not why Kahne lost the race. Like Kasey said in the post race interview; he just couldn't catch Edwards. Carl would have gotten around him eventually. If Waltrip pulled a stunt like that with only 30 laps to go, it might be a different story, but the way it happened is just racing.

That's racing. Deal with it. The fact that Kasey made no mention of this tells you his feelings on how this affected the outcome.
When you're a leader and you have lapped traffic ahead of you, you have a couple of choices: either tap them out of the way, or try to get around 'em. It's that simple.
On re-starts, Kasey had chances to catch The King Of Concrete but Edwards would not be denied. He just had the better car. End of story.
If Waltrip's such an idiot, why is he racing, and we're sitting here talking about it.

Waltrip didn't block Kahne at all. Kahne just couldn't pass him. And if Michael Waltrip "holding him up" with 170 laps to go was enough to keep him from winning the race, he probably shouldn't have won anyway. If Kahne really was that fast, he would've gotten back past Edwards. If not, Edwards was going to pass him anyway.

He was trying to get tv time for his sponsors because hes msised so many races this year, and think of it this way, he passed kahne got 1 lap back went 2 laps down if a caution came out he would have been 1 lap down and if another cautionc ame out he would be on the elad lap and bristol is known for cautions waltrip was racing smart he held up edwards too to be fair

Why didn't NASCAR use the blue flag. Isn't that what it's for?

Kasey did bump Michael a few times, but he is not a dirty driver so he didn't push him out of the way. It was too early in the race to take a chance on wrecking into the wall. He raced well this weekend. I'm happy that he did as well as he did.

I Heard Rusty make a comment about Micheal holding up Kasey, he said that regardless of where Micheal was in the race he was going to race anybody who was near him.

I can understand your feelings about what Micheal did, but these guys are all fierce competitors, so I guess it comes with the territory.

I think he was thinking, "gosh this race is so boring, i'm gonna make it a little more exciting and make these drivers work hard to get around me" Thats what he did. He made a boring race for me a little exciting. I don't think he did anything wrong. Those cars were fast they got around him eventually, so no harm done!!!!

kasey did get robbed!!!!! i was so mad!!! i was like what the heck r u doing waltrip ur 2 laps down get outta the way!!!!!! he wasnt thinknig at all!! its all for sponsor time probably!! kasey probably would have won that race if it werent for waltrip!!!!!!
