4 of the 1st 4 are idiots who obviously know very little about cars, but on the yahoo boards what did you expect.
Last year I would've said the same thing about Hyundai, but I've become educated since then (as have alot of people close to me) and learned they are among the best cars you can buy.
The reliability of Hyundai's started to improve in the late 90's, and only continue to improve already surpassing European and American brands in quality/reliability.
Safety features in cars have improved over the last 5 years with multiple airbags, traction control and stability control all of which are standard on most Hyundai's.
I can't speak for Hyundai's credit service, I think you should go to Eloan.com and see what rate they can give you, I got 6.25% on a 60 month loan earlier this year.

Wow, the hater train is never late !
I'll say it again, most who call Hyundai crap never owned a Hyundai.
If the new generation Hyundai's are anything like my 01' Elantra you will see many good years service out of it.
The VC is very nice. Almost Lexus quality for $10,000 less it's a steal.
Hyundai credit is like all the others from my experience. When I got my Elantra it turned out that Toyota Financial Credit had the better rate so I own a Hyundai but with Toyota money (go figure). Shop around, you may get a decent rate but many times when you hear really low rates that's for people with near perfect credit.

I have not own a Hyundai but I have driven a brand new rented Hyundai Verna. It is a decent car I must say, very quiet and smooth transmission. Interior is so so but I think because it is a rented car with a bear basics. The only comments I have is that it is not as fuel efficient as the Jap car of the same size. So I would think in general the same goes to the Veracruz and a good value for money car.

I just bought an 07 Hyundai and it's a great car with a fantastic warranty. Financing depends on your credit.

I drive an 07 Elantra GLS, traded our 02 GLS in for it. It is a wonderful car with all the bells and whistles for about 400 more than our 02...and we only paid 12,900 for that one. Yes, most Hyundai dealers will approve you for financing with so/so credit - our credit is borderline crap but we have a nice new car. Your interest rate is the big thing. If you can get a cosigner that's best. If not, your interest rate will likely be high.
The Veracruz is an awesome SUV...I'd love to have one if I could afford it.

Me & a number of my friends have Hyundais of various models - and all of us love them.
I've had my 98 Excel since new, and never had a breakdown yet (touch wood). It's been a great car.
Same goes for my friends - they are on the cheaper end of the market, and so lack some of the luxuries, but if you're shopping on a budget, they're excellent value for money!

My MIL has a 02 Hyundai Accent, my husband has a 02 Elantra GLS and I recently bought a 07 Sonata. Hyundais are great cars with great warranties. I'd contact your local dealership and ask them if they can do anything for you.
