I have a friend who's 17, and never gets any sleep because she's always playing Maplestory late at night. Even on school days at like, 2 AM in the morning. She's been dozing in and out of sleep all the time in English class last year. Concerned, I tried to think of a way to get her to stop playing that RPG so much, and get to sleep on time. So I told her that lack of sleep will give her gray hairs. But then she told me they didn't. Huh? I thought they did.

And if they don't, then what exactly does cause gray hairs? I hope I don't get them early Dx

I never heard of any such thing. Gray hair is caused from loss of pigment in the hair. If that was true my hair would be totally white by now because my dear children keep me up all night!

Well if you're not getting any sleep, that causes stress, and in which case stress does cause gray hair.

I have gray hair an I sleep 7 or more hour like a baby. I do not think so that gray has to do with no sleep.

Don't think so.
Trauma and stress can.

I knew a soldier who turned white overnight, in a foxhole.
