I have an 1993 Lexus LS400, the stock cassette player won't allow me to use tapes or adapters,any suggestions?

it has an pioneer tape player if that helps, i just wanna listen to my music, instead of commercials on the radio

purchase a new head unit. i recomend http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ as a good place to start looking

i would replace it with a cd player.
