Honey, please don't feel that way. At the end of the day, you have probably matured early and so, you feel a little 'out of place'. All young girls go through a period of insecurity - I was always conscious of being plump when I was younger and used to be terribly distressed. If you keep focusing on it, you will keep feeling worse and worse.

At the end of the day, you don't have control over your height, so try not to become too preoccupied with it. Maybe you should talk to your parents about it so you don't feel so alone. Being 'alone' with your emotions can be a huge burden.

As a final point, just bear in mind that most models are tall.
;-)

Good luck, honey xxxx

So you are a few inches above the average height for a women, forget about thinking you are a freak, it takes all sorts, and there will be guys taller than you, just not lots, you aint the tallest women by a long shot, but you may still grow some more, stand tall, with your head high and dont be ashamed, there is nothing wrong with you, do not slouch,

Yes, my sixteen year old says there is a great chance about the boys being longer. My 13 year old is already taller than you by 1 to 1 & 1/2 inches. But don't worry about what the boys think enjoy being tall I was always tall for my age.

Hiya, I am 5ft 9 and stopped growing when I was 14 or 15 (I'm 25 now). When I left primary school I was already 5ft 4 and taller than my teacher!!! As for being taller than boys, they have their growth spurt later than girls. My boyfriend was 5ft 5 when he left high school at 16, but is now 5ft 11-6ft because he suddenly shot up at 18.

I used to hate my height but I feel fine with it now, it's just what I was given. It means I never lose my friends at a bar and always get a good view at the cinema haha. Good luck :)

Always walk with your head up and shoulders back, don't slouch or try to look shorter, everyone looks much better when they walk confident and you have no reason not to.

I'm 16 and the same height and have been since I was 15. Don't worry, PLENTY of guys will be taller than you.

And I know girls that are 6' and taller, so you're really not too tall when it comes to tall chicks.

Believe me when I say you're not a freak - as a matter of fact, if you're interested in a sport such as basketball or netball your height will be a positive thing. As for guys - if they're not already your height, they'll quickly catch up. And some guys might even like the fact you're taller, but at the end of the day, it's what's inside that counts.

Planning to be a model? You are the right height. Stand up straight, shoulders back. Be proud that you are tall. Tall women are successful and independent. They'll catch up and you'll be perfect for them.
Go rent Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta, watch the problem he has when he dances with the short girl, he even tells her she's too short.

Even though the boys around your age seem to be shorter right now, don't worry Boys experience their growth spurt at the end of their teens. Girls reach their full height at the beginning of puberty usually by the time their periods kick in. The guys just kick in later. Promise.
