Do you guy just like starting a fight. I will not fight you.
This is the USA. You have the right to have a pit bull. Like you have the right to open your mouth.
But this is what I believe the pit bull has outlive its use. It has to change or go by-by. I would never breed a pit bull. But that is just me. They can not force me too bred pit bulls. And I do not have the right to make them stop.
Plus I have one right now. Will not get anouther one. I am too old too train anouther one. She was given to me by friend because I have a stalker. She was fixed right when I got her. Because I do not believe in breeding them. The stalker has gotten into my house when I was sleeping. Because that is the only way he has a chance to hurt me. Because I will tell you I bite a lot harder then any pit bull. He ran so fast and out the door. She hardly had time to bark. Yes another breed would have worked. But the size and the very short hair is what I needed. I can not have a dog that is to large. Or has a lot of hair.
There is good breeding and bad breeding in all dogs. I have been biten by labs. I am not the wimping person that yells about a little bite. Never been biten by a pit bull.
Had more men trying to hurt me then a dog. So lets get rid of the men. See how dumb does it sound.
Most people it is not even about the dogs. It is the rights and the goverment and small group of people taking them all.
And read about the dogs. That is not why they were breed. They are a very old breed. Dog fighting is more a new thing. For wimps!!!
If you are so afriad of getting biten by a pit bull. Hate to see you in a car the way people drive these day.

Yawn. Why didn't you just read the hundreds of other questions/comments just like yours? The issue of pit bull ownership is and will probably always be controversial, but those people who live in a state/county that currently allows them still have the right to own one. If you honestly feel so strongly about this issue, why don't you write your local congressmen or legislators and tell them why you think pit bulls should be outlawed? And I suggest you come up with something a little better (and more research-based) than "they're bred to fight and kill other dogs." I doubt that stunning statement of intellect will impress the lawmakers. I also doubt you'll put your money where your mouth is though. You'll never get off your lazy *** to actually do something about the issue that bothers you, so you'll settle for writing ignorant statements on Yahoo! Answers. It's SO overplayed.
Ingorant people breed other ignorant generations. They should be outlawed.

Really? Maybe you should come tell my pitbull that. I don't think he got the notice. Right now, though, he's asleep about 5 ft from my other dog.
Yes pitbulls were bred to fight. OK. I get it. Stop beating a dead horse. They were bred fo dog aggressiveness instead of human aggressiveness. HOWEVER----Do you honestly think that every pitbull is like that? When you were born, did you know how to ride a bike? You had to be taught, right? The same applies here. Yes, there are mean pits. There are mean dogs in every breed there is. You're a shining example of "Same sh*t different day."
When are you people going to look for the facts YOURSELVES instead of jumping on here trying to get a rise out of everyone? You're either misinformed, a moron, or just a troublemaker. I'm so sick of constantly reading these "questions" over and over. If you don't like pitbull, fine. Don't get one. That's your RIGHT. Just like it's MY RIGHT to have one. So go away, and if you want to be online at least do something useful. You could start by looking up pitbulls online and reading some actual FACTS about them. You and hala whatever are so quick to spread your OPINION about pits, now go find the truth.

Bulldogs - Bred to bait bulls, not a pretty thing.
Terriers - Bred to KILL vermin
Chows - Used for centuries as fighters
German Shepherds - One of the highest pray drives around
Rhodesian Ridgbacks - Bred to hunt Lions
Most breeds have some type of violent history in their breeding. It is not the breed that determines whether the dog is dangerous, but the handling. Pitbulls just have the misfortune of being the choice dog of jackasses the last few years.

yes they are bred to fight NOW, they were originally bred for bull baiting in bull fights, so the dog did not start off with a good job in the first place! they had to be aggressive to go up against a bull! now ignorant a$$ people have turned that into a terrible thing & kill the poor dogs because of how THEY raised them! any dog can be aggressive, i knew a kid who had half his face torn off by his neighbors lab! I have had many pits growing up & none were mean, in fact they were very good family dogs! I now bred american bulldogs which were used in the breeding of pits along with bull terriors. these dogs also have a bad name but the funny thing is they are great with my 10 month old daughter who pulls & yanks on them as they just lay there & enjoy it! any way to answer your question pits need some defense to protect them from a$$ hole people who torture dogs! dog fighting is the only thing that needs anything done about it!

i think of your different answerer replaced right into a sprint truthfully plenty ignorant!!! in case you have been attacked by using your loved ones puppy, then i think very sorry for you. I even have continuously believed that it replaced into the proprietors fault if a dogs replaced into violent, of course this is incorrect. Ive had 4 canines in my existence time yet no longer a pit bull (springer spaniel, collie, collie/german shepherd x and finally a extensive stunning male weimaraner!) The on;y violence I witnessed replaced into between the Spaniel and the collie x and that replaced into via them the two being bitches and on warmth on an analogous time! i think of the explanation why people think of in favour of the dogs is using the few people that % to apply those canines as struggling with canines and for this reason people have self assurance a number of those canines are talked approximately this type - of course no longer the case! i think sorry for this breed in view this is obviously no longer a relatives puppy whether it would decide to be, it needs to artwork and if proprietors won't have the capacity to offer the obtrusive intense person-friendly they require, then they must no longer own one. i'm confident you mum and dad does no longer have enable your dogs into the relatives homestead in the event that they ever concept you would be in probability.

Any animal being bred for it's good qualities will result in good animals
Any animal being bred for it's bad qualities (IE: FIGHTING)
will of course have offspring that have the same traits.
Why cannot people understand that there are good and bad of EVERY breed, and we should be going after the "vicks" of this world.
For future reading, this is a study about wolves and how they are being domesticated
It takes several generations to produce "tame" wolves.

Pit bulls WERE raised to fight and protect. However now with responsible breeding they are family dogs and it isnt every dog that goes bad although some do. I do however agree with you though I do have a pit mix.

Why all the dumbass questions about Pits being banned? Have you ever owned one? Would you like to see my kids cry uncontrollably because their friend had to be taken away just for being an American Staffordshire? Vote NO to BSL!

Man whoever thinks pitbulls are dangerous it should be the owners. Any breed of dog is dangerous unless you know how to raise and take care of it. Loving the animal is the positive thing to do. Beating and starving it is when the dog turns on to humans. So any dog can be mean and attack people if they are not taken care. So you people need to quit blaming just the pit breed because its getting stupid and old.
