Casually bring up the subject again. If he says that he has no time for a gf, then try to find out why this is. Bear in mind though, that he may kbow that you like him and is not interested so is trying to let you know without embarassing you. But then again his reasoning could be genuine. After you've brought the subject of girlfriends up, try telling him that you like him. See how he reacts. If he doesn't feel anything for you in the love department, then you'll still be friends. This is a bit of a difficult one though, because uf he says he does like you but doesn't want a gf yet and meanwhile another guy comes along, you'll be torn. Choose wisely. Good luck!

Just stay cool and be his friend till he changes his mind because at long last he will like to have or get one ( g.f ).

For your own protection, you take things nice and slow so that its not you who get hurt in the long run and try not to rush into being his g.f. so quickly. Take time to get to know him and allow him to get to know you for who you are as a person. You owe that to yourself and remember if its meant to happen, it will happen.

Just be his friend. Sooner or later his feelings will change about you. Just like they say on the movie "When Harry Met Sally" the opposite sex cannot just be friends without getting intimate at one point in time. Watch the movie if you haven't already seen it. I think you will really like it...and maybe even learn something.

The guy might be GAY, and this is his excuse for not wanting a relationship at this time. Just be his friend, apparently, that's all he wants right now. Don't be pushy, he'll bolt like a frightened animal.

don't force it

You'd rather be in a relationshp where he pays attention to you the whole time instead of his focus being elsewhere

take things slow and be his friend first and get to know him a little bit and then get things romantically spiced up.

Tell him you like him and see where it goes from there.

He might not have time for any old girlfriend, but if he really likes you, then he'll make time.

But you'll never know unless you talk to him.

So... he says that he "didn't have time". That means that you still have chance to get him. Ask him if he "does have time now" or if he is ready to have a girlfriend.
