I like biofreeze and freeze it more than icy hot and similar topical medicines. You can get freeze it from some CVS stores (the one here has it) and I think it is exactly like the biofreeze that you can get from some chiropractors and some physical therapists. I don't like icy hot and other similar type rub-ons because it can be too strong and feels like it's burning me, and sometimes makes me tingle too much, but freeze it and biofreeze are not too strong for me and ease the pain instead of making me severely uncomfortable.

It's basically the same thing. Icy Hot you can usually but at a drug store but I've only ever seen Biofreeze given out by doctors.

Biofreeze keeps the area you apply it to cold. Icy Hot Starts out cold but ends up becoming hot. Those are the two major differences. I know that many people like Biofreeze, but I find for my two problems arthritis and Fibromyalgia I prefer an analgesic cream that stays hot. It reduces the pain better for me.
