There are a number of cake recipes out there tha call for ground up cookies in place of flour. You could use your fortune cookies in place of that. In fact, if you were to take your oatmeal cookie recipe and substitute some of the ground up fortune cookies for either the flour or oatmeal, it would work. Just cut down on the amount of sugar called for in the recipe. You could also grind up the fortune cookies, mix with butter and use it for a pie crust. A nice pudding pie that you don't cook would go nicely in that crust after you baked the crust. Look at recipes at Google that call for graham cracker crusts - just substitute your fortune cookies for the graham crackers.

Alright Iron Chefs, today's secret ingredant is stale fortune cookies. Ali Cuisine!

I'd crumble them up and add them to my favorite regular cookie dough base. Oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip would probably be pretty good with a touch of fortune cookie in them.

You could always crumble them on top of ice cream. Better yet, make some homemade fortune cookie ice cream.

If you want to get really creative you could crumble them into a fine powder and use them as a breading for something. Perhaps add some crushed wasabi peas and use it to bread a nice firm fleshed fish with.

The crumbs probably wouldn't be bad as part of the breading agent in your basic meat loaf.

How about using the fine crumbs as a crust for a banana or other custard pie? Or better yet, use them as a couple of layers in a pudding parfait.

And... as usual, the judges will taste them all and comment on how wonderful they are. Then they will taste Mario Batalli's dishes and exclaim "Oh my god!!! I want to have your children!!!". Guess that's why he's an Iron chef.

1 dozen fortune cookies
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or white chocolate, if desired)
1 tablespoon shortening

In a small bowl, melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
Add shortening; stir until blended.
Dip the purchased fortune cookies half-way in the chocolate and place on waxed paper to cool.

Take the fortune cookies and break them up in medium sized pieces, add some nuts and/or raisins, m&m's, put in bowl and pour melted chocolate over them and mix well... spread on a lightly greased cookie sheet and refrigerate until firm... take out and break into pieces... makes a nice crunchy snack....

Fortune cookie birthday cake

1 teaspoon Vanilla
30 Regular sized marshmallows
4 cup Crisp rice cereal
8 ounce Milk or white chocolate - Chopped
40 Fortune cookies

In a large saucepan melt butter with vanilla and marshmallows over low heat. Stir in cereal. Spread in greased, 8-inch round springform pan. In medium bowl placed over saucepan of simmering water, melt chocolate just until smooth. Dip cookie bottoms into melted chocolate mixture; stack cookies on cake in layers to form a pyramid shape. Drizzle any extra chocolate down sides. Refrigerate cake at least one hour. To serve, pull cookies off cake and slice cake.
