I am making sugar cookies for my daughters birthday and wanted to know if I can place them in the refridgerator after cooking them for a day or two before frosting them or should I leave them in a plastic container on the counter? This is the recipe I am using if that is any help-http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/The-Best-Rolled-Sugar-Cookies/Detail.aspx?src=etaf
Thank you!

they will become stale more quickly in the fridge. Seal them in a airtight container and keep them on the counter or freeze them. If it is only a couple of days though, it really isn't necessary to freeze them...

Yes Put Them In A Plastic Container In The Refrigerator Then Get Them Out When Necessary And Heat Them Up And Then Put Frosting On Them.

You can easily place them in an airtight container on the counter. Just make sure you're baking them less than 3 days in advance. Otherwise, they will become stale. If you choose to store them in the fridge, I reccomend sealing them as well. They will not lose any moisture, and will stay fresher by another day. An additional perk to the fridge - the cookies will harden slightly, so frosting will be much easier. The cookies will soften in about an hour. Have fun!
