Polygamy is one way: a husband with many wives. If it went both ways, I wouldn't have a problem with it. "Big Love" is a great show. I can't wait for next season.

Big Love is an entertaining drama (soap opera) with a twist of polygamy as the family secret. Every soap opera must have family secrets. The secret are what keep the plots twisting, and make the show a drama rather then real life.
Polygamy practiced among consenting adults is less confusing then our current serial monogamy where people marry then divorce then marry again.
Polygamy within the cults is generally not practiced among consenting adults, and both female and male adolescents are hurt by the way the cults practice polygamy.
