Bouillon cubes are in any grocery store. By the soups and soup starters. I use a brand that is called Orrington Farms. It's more like granuals and last for ever. I put it water to boil veggies, rice or in gravy anything you want to add a little something extra or to save a few calories with flavor not butter. I imagine if you use it in this way you could replace it with canned chicken broth.

Technically a cube of chicken bouillon is concentrated chicken meat extract. It's very salty and you can find it in normal grocery stores. It is used if you don't have chicken broth. It bumps up the flavor of a soup broth. You can use chicken broth - straight, concentrated chicken broth - add water, chicken base (a kind of paste in a jar similar to cubes but wetter and needs to be refrigerated once opened - I like it better than cubes) - add water, and chicken cubes - add warm or hot water to dissolve.

It is chicken flavored salt. It makes a salty weakly flavored chicken broth if a cube is dissolved in a cup of boiling water. It is sold in grocery stores near the canned and dried soup mixes.
If you leave it out, you can substitute about 1/2 teaspoon of salt and some herbs for the flavor the boullion would have provided.

Its powdered, concentrated (and cubed) chicken broth. Almost any store should have it, probably in the soup aisle. And yes, just substitute chicken broth or stock for the amount of water and bouillon called for in the recipe

YUK!!! Don't use the cubes...
Look for a product called "BETTER THAN BOUILLON" In comes in a jar & it is soooo much better. Comes in beef, chicken, ham, vegetable & I think there is a lobster version as well. It should be available in any grocery store, the baking isle where you find like the Swanson's Chicken broth, etc.

I agree w/ the other answers about cube boullion, it's a cube that is disolved in hot water and can be found in most if not all grocery stores. I don't use it, there's a product called better than boullion, chicken, beef and veg. based that is much better. It's in a short small jar. The beef boullion is great for making beef tips over rice......yummy! If that's not avail. for you, go w/ broth from a can.

If the bouillon is used for making broth, you can substitute canned broth, which you can find with reduced sodium, and fat-free. I actually prefer the canned stuff for everything I used to use the cubes for. Bert C. is right...the cubes are way too salty.

You can find bouillon cubes anywhere. Look in the spice aisle of any supermarket. I would never use it, too salty. I make my own stock. You can use canned chicken broth.

Yes you can find it in most grocery stores. It's made by OXO. It also comes in powder form in pre measured packages, also by OXO. If you're really stuck you can use the powder from Lipton Chicken noodle soup or some other dry chicken soup package. One tablespoon equals one cube or package. Hope this helps!
