I am almost turning 12 and I am wayyy smaller than all of my friends, i weigh like 65 pounds, is that small? Most of my friends fit in size 10 shorts, I wear a 7, and in jeans i have to special order them, so they are long with a small waist. I have 2 pairs of "Sevens" that fit perfect and 2 pairs of Abercrombie kids jeans, they fit length wise but they are a little big in the waist. Am I going to grow? Are there other girls like me?

I am 4"9 and my sister that is 10 is 4"10 and weighs more than me.
why is this?

what you can do to improve your height is by eating more (not a lot of junk food though), exercise more, go outside more, and the rest of the obvious

It could be genetic. Genetically you could just be smaller than other people, it could be for the rest of your life. It doesn't have to be from just your parents either and if you do have a condition similar to this (check with your doctor and do research) than you could be given a shot or pill that could help you grow, but it will only work for a certain period of time. Don't jump to conclusions, check with your doctor before doing anything rash like pills and shots for anything. It could just be that you may not have another growth spurt until high school or after high school. I was 5'9 in middle school, 6'1 in high school, and after I graduated I now stand at 6'2 and a half.

A lot of it has to do with genetics...are you parents small? Secondly, if you are a picky eater that too will decide your growth pattern. When my son was 12 he was 5'9 and weighed 140 lbs, but he also drank 3 gallons of milk a week...(yes a week). He ate everything that was presented to him, chicken, beef, pork, & seafood. His best friend was also 12 and ate only chicken, and he was only 5'3.

If I were you, you need to incorporate some vitimins in your meals. Stay off cokes, and drink lots of milk. Don't be in a hurry to gain weight...you'll be there in due time.

If you're really worried about this...talk to your parents, perhaps they can take you to a specialist.

You just havent reached your growth spurt yet. When you start to get your period (yucckkk) then you'll start to grow more. You'll get some curves and height. But for now, you gottawait it out until you get to puberty.

You'll most likely get it around the age your mother got it.

Unless you've already gotten it, then there could be an issue. Your supposed to stop growing 2 years after you get it. But whatever, I'm sure its no big deal.

OR, you could just have a tiny frame. Lucky you :]

Dont worry, I have a friend that is like that and my mom was like that. Probably you will grow later on, or sometimes people are just like that because its genetic. Since youre 12 I think you will grow later on, also check If short height is common in your family, you may just be normal for you.

As long as you are healthy, your size/weight is just fine. Focus on being nutritious and the rest will work itself out. You are still young, still growing. Go to a nutritionist to double check on your diet. Every body is unique dont compare it to other people! Just focus on your health and continue to live a healthy happy life!

You are small because you have not had your teen age growing spurt which is around age 15 to 16. After that you will have another one before you are 18.
So, don't worry.

You might always be small compared to your friends but you still have LOTS of growing to do. Don't get discouraged or down on yourself. When you grow up you will discover that most women would kill to be your size.

Probably your diet is a little off. You could try eating more fat carbs and protein. But remember you will need to exercise a little more with that.

But honestly I wouldn't be worried about other people. Everyone is different.

God made us all different; you have a smaller frame size than your friends and if you are healthy, that's what matters.
There are people like you all over the place and you're fine!
