Like, I went to church this morning, but I wanted to know where you make your limit in refraining from work and having fun on Sundays.

How much is ok? Does everybody have a different difinition of whats ok?

I don't limit anything. Every day is God's day, so I try to keep the sinning down every day. Some people have to work on Sunday and some people only have Sunday to have fun. God wants us to have fun, just don't sin.

Your question is about the Sabbath. The Sabbath is the seventh day and was a day of rest under the Old Covenant. The religious leaders began requiring more from the believers than God did. For example, there was only a certain distance you could walk. Any further was considered work. These 'laws' were man-made, not God made. Jesus asked if it was wrong to save your donkey on the Sabbath knowing it was not. This indicates that the religious leaders had gone too far in limiting people.

Today, we are no longer under the Old Covenant, anyway. There is no limitation on any activity that I'm aware of as long as you gather together with other Christians to worship. But if you are able and willing, it is a great time to focus on the study of God's Word and on prayer throughout the day.

Sunday is a good day for rest and to do some of the things that often cannot be done during the busy work week; it's a good day to catch up on some sleep, spend time with the family; read the Bible; visit someone who is sick or a shut-in; cook some "comfort food" and just basically rest up for what is for many a hectic week ahead.

I tell you what, the way the world is now some people have to work at a job on Sundays or do other work at home to catch up. It's just about anything goes in the twenty-first century on Sundays.

Anything you want to. It is man that made the day of Sunday to be limiting, not God.

I usually relax, study the Word, and sometimes get on here. I don't cook much, but heat things up. I think as long as you don't voluntarily work for $$ on Sunday you are ok.

Keeping the Sabbath is a covenant between the Jews and God. Not non-Jews. And no, Jesus didn't change that for anyone.

So do whatever you like. On whatever day you like.

Salvation is not about doing or not doing anything.
Sin isn't about breaking rules.
Sin is what you are.
To stop sinning you have to kill your ego.
To find salvation you must be reborn of love.

Ego is of this world.
Love is from God.

How can people that call themselves Christian not understand this?

Agape
