You wake up one day in a one bedroom shack, tour stomache gumbles but there is little to eat. You look over at your children who are playing with the bugs that infest your house. Your wife has left to fetch water for the daily chores.
You have no lights or anything. Then a friend of yours stops by and tells you if you go to Canada the jobs are plentiful and pay well, but it is a dangerous journey and many people there will hate you.
Do you go so your family can eat?

well Brookelyn, I can believe the reports or I can believe the people I talk to and what I have seen with my own eyes in Mexico. If you go by the reports no one is starving in the US but if you go to some rural areas it is a different story, no?
The Mexican Gov. would not release a report that shows it cannot take care of it's own people and in the US it is more profitable to blame immigrants for all the problems.
It is all a game, it used to be the blacks fault whites can't get work Hitler blamed the Jews always there is a group that gets the blame.

My first thought would be to raise a garden and livestock, people have become too dependent on services and leaning on the government, we are not a socialist country nor should we be, each person needs to be self reliant.

At what point do you draw the line, how many disadvantaged do you saturate us with. We are not responsible for all the poverty in the world and to envelope into our country would bring us down too.

Each country is responsible for the health and welfare of its people. Sanctions against some of these countries may help them correct their attitude towards their people, but it did not work with China.

There is social and poitical strife in many of the regions of the world. The question posed in this case is no doubt refering to the plight of the 12 million plus illiegal immigrants who have decided the answer to their problems is to go live with those who have the resources to take initiatives to better their country. It matters little that those others in the world struggling with their own problems can't make the same move with as much ease since they don't share a common border with us. Look at the Canadiens and our common border there. They have worked hard to develop their own country and don't find it necessary to deluge the U.S. with all their hardship cases.
Let me give you one big clue here- I don't want to share our country and all we've developed with all who have not done so well. This is OUR COUNTRY. Don't give me your crap about how America was founded by immigrants and we should not close the door now. We have laws that clearly deal with immigration. Just abide by those laws and you won't run into the backlash that the American public is screaming out. Go back to your country and get your own governments to do something about your starving families!!!!

I would not have had the children that I could not afford in the first place. I would keep my house clean so as not to have it infested with bugs. I would have a garden growing so I would have food. This is their way of life. If they don't like it in their country it is up to them to fix their problems. It is not right that they commit crimes against another country when theirs is in need of repairs. It is not right that the legal citizens must pay for them. All the illegal criminal aliens need to be deported, and the sooner, the better.

How about instead of protesting here and attempting to drag our country down to the level of Mexico, you protest there and try to fix it? And my taxes go up and my level of living suffer so I can support you and your ever growing family? I've got my own family to take care of. I'm tired of subsidizing illegal aliens. Go home and fix your own country. Stop screwing mine up!
PS - sell your computer and buy a bunch of tacos for them hungry kids. What a great dad you are!

First of all, don't have children if you can't feed them. That is child abuse. As to why they come here, we already know why. It is still illegal and should therefore be punished. Oh , do I really have to mention the drugs smuggled in. No sympathy for any one of them from any country on any continent. Legal or leave.

I probably do all most anything to feed my children even illegally But I sure wouldn't stand up against what ever country we would be recieving from. Instead I would humble my self & thank them for all we recieved from them. Humbleness is not a weakness it is a virtue.

Sounds like time to stand up to your corrupt government. What do you have to lose, sounds like your dying anyways. What took you so long to see that there was a problem? Many people in America live in a one room shack. When they have had enough,I am sure they will do something about it to.

I'd apply legally. I wouldn't break laws and steal opportunity from others. And I CERTAINLY wouldn't be singing the praises of my government that was allowing me the live this way. I wouldn't be screaming "VIVA MY COUNTRY!" and waving it's flag. If I WERE doing those things, then it would be VERY doubtful that I had been living in those conditions to begin with. Instead, it would look very much like I was lying to make people pity me.
Is THAT the answer you are looking for?

Yes, legally.

I think you need to do a little research, we do not have any illegals from countries that are starving - if you are implying that Mexico is starving you definitely need to research the topic. The people of Mexico are of average weight for their height. Dealing the sympathy card? Deal it to Africa or Sudan

If you want a source for much of Mexico's problems look towards ethanol
