no it didn't, why do you people keep claiming this nonsense?
first mt st helens, then pinatubo, now krakatoa. Jeez
none of these volcanoes spewed any where near the amount that human activity produces- they released more than human activity on the day of the eruption - thats it.
I heard this claim a couple days ago here:
"mt st. helens released more co2 than all human activity since the industrial revolution"
FALSE
MSH 1980 eruption released 3 gigatonnes of co2, annual human contribution is 27 gigatonnes.

....maybe when the super-caldron at yellowstone goes off you will have a legitamate argument

It actually had a small eruption this time last year. There is a 3 km zone around the islands that scientists have warned people to stay out of, however they don't think that we will see the likes of the 1883 eruption again! I certainly hope not - nearly 40,000 people died back then!

I believe the last, and most documented eruption was in 1883. There is a ton of interesting information in a very readable format, in the tome listed below.

Really? Because this graph clearly shows CO2 levels that 200 years ago started going up far beyond any natural cycle of the last 400,000 years. And that graph includes the year that Krakatoa erupted.

This is utter nonsense.
Volcanoes emit less than 1% of the greenhouse gases that man does. Proof:

The Earth knows very well we're here, and it's reacting:

the earth may not know that we are here, but we certainly are. and unless we want to make the earth a REALLY blue planet (as in the sea levels are rising) i suggest recycling, car pooling or walking, and reducing gas, electric and water usage.

I did not know that but it seems reasonable to me. It also shows that the earth changes temperature becasue of what happens naturally. We would have little or none to do with it.

Your insight will fall on deft ears. Global warming is more of a religion than it is a science. You have as much chance convincing them that global warming is natural as you would convincing a muslim that there are no such thing as winged horses.

I'd have to agree with you but you're raining on their parade with this information. Now they have to copy and paste Weird Al's manipulated graphs yet again just to show you that you're misinformed about their religion. lol
