I have a nissan altima with 88000 miles on it with the same brakes when I bought it. The tech at the service center at midas said I still have 50% of the pads left. Nissan rules.

In normal city driving you would get 30-35k miles on a set of front brake pads. I have seen some people get 60-80k miles from there brake pads because they drive 100-150 a day on the freeway with just a little stopping.

Just remember there are Altima owners out there who drive to fast and jamb on the brakes. Some Altima owners can tear thru the pads in as little as 12,000 miles. And did you have a bad service experence at Nissan dealership? I suggest you purchase the same quality brake parts at Nissan and have then installed where you want.

That is a question that is relative to the driving conditions and the driver. We got 105,000 on a Chevy sprint 1985 model. It was a five speed. The majority of the miles were city.
