No problem at all - we use them all the time......Just soak for about 30 minutes before threading food on so they don't catch on fire!!

not a problem at all, the only trick is that in order for the skewers not to burn while grilling you have to soak them in water for a while..

Wooden scewers are fine, but you must soak them in water for a while first. They will soak up the water to prevent the scewer from catching fire.
