I've done so many things that would make him very ashamed and look down on me that I am afraid to even talk to Him, I know I've sinned greatly, my past is my worst enemy and I don't think God has forgiven me for my sins...

You may be ashamed of yourself, but God loves you unconditionally. He speaks to the angels regarding you, He says: "This is my child whom I love" "Isn't he special, isn't he wonderful" and all the angels in heaven respond with heavenly praise for all of Gods wonderful creation.
If you are not totally ashamed of the things you do today and the things you have done in the past, you cannot know God. Because you say you are ashamed, I am convinced Gods Holy Spirit is working inside of you. Without shame, how could we truly repent of wickedness? Think of that thief on the cross...He led a criminal, rebellious life towards God and man. His faith saved him at the last moment of his life. He did not get baptised, he didn't perform any good works, he never even prayed, he simply believed Jesus was who He claimed to be and God counted it to him as righteousness. Jesus told him..."This day you will be with Me in paradise"....Read Gods Word and believe everything God tells us in it. Reject thoughts that are in opposition to Gods Word. Embrace the fact that Christ Jesus already paid for your sins and praise Him for the Love and Compassion He has for each and everyone of us. Remember this love and compassion when you deal with other people in your day to day life, remember the depths of sin you came from and treat others the way God treats you. God Bless You.....

Honey there is no sin to great for the Lord to forgive. If you read the bible there are many that have sinned greatly. There is no sin that is unforgivable if you are truly sorry and ask for his forgiveness. He died on the cross for our sins, great and small. Don't give up on the Lord . He knows all about the things we do. We just have to pray for forgiveness and when forgiven leave it in the past as he does. God Bless. Hope I could reassure you a little.

Everyone is guilty. Not everyone is forgiven. You have been forgiven since you are in Christ. Guilt trips come from the devil. The Holy Spirit will not keep convicting you of sins you have already repented of...He doesn't rub our faces in it.
Conviction comes from the Holy Spirit, guilt trips are from the other one.
Your sins have been cast as far away as the East is from the West. Yes, that's in scripture. Try to imagine this, to understand it clearly...you're walking on a globe, you walk North...eventually, you will be walking South, right? BUT, Walk West (or East), and you will NEVER be walking the other direction. East and West NEVER meet. So, how far away from you does scripture say God casts your sins?

Jesus is always wanting to forgive.

Romans 10
1 John 2:
1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

When you asks for God's forgiveness he no longer sees what you have done in your past he sees what you will become. He sees the Son or Daughter not the sinner. God is a forgiving God and is willing to forgive. You just have to forgive yourself for your past mistakes and know that God loves you and he forgives you.

Jesus told a story about a son who lived in despicable sin. He wasted his father's money and reputation in all sorts of despicable sins. One day he came to the realization that his sin was destroying his life. So he went home to beg his father for forgiveness. When his father saw him, he ran down the road to greet him. The father had been waiting every day for his return.

Jesus said that this is what God is like. The Father loves you. He is always ready to welcome you home with loving arms. I have found that it is harder for me to forgive myself than for God to forgive me. Don't be afraid of him, he is ready to listen and to welcome you home.

I'll pray for you.

Jhn 9:31 Now we know that Yahweh does not hear sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of Yahweh, and does his will, him he heareth.

Isayah 59:1-15—
1 Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not
shortened, that it cannot save; nor His
ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

2 But your own iniquities have
separated you from your Father; and
your own sins have caused Him to
hide His face from you, so He will not
listen.

3 For your hands are defiled with
blood, and your fingers with iniquity;
sin. Your lips have spoken lies, your
tongue has muttered perverseness.

4 No one calls for justice, nor does
any plead for truth. They trust in vanity;
confusion, and speak lies; scriptural
untruths. They conceive mischief;
trouble, and give birth to evil; sin.

5 They hatch vipers’ eggs, and
weave the spiders’ web; he who eats
their eggs dies, and when one is broken
a viper bursts out.

6 Their webs will not serve as clothing,
nor will they cover themselves
with what they make; their works are
works of iniquity, and the act of violence
is in their hands.

7 Their feet run to evil, and they
make haste to shed innocent blood;
their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
wasting and destruction are in their
paths.

8 They do not know the way of
peace, and there is no judgment in
their goings: they have made themselves
crooked paths; whoever walks
on them will not know peace.

9 Therefore justice is far from us,
nor does righteousness overtake us.
We wait for light, but only see obscurity;
for brightness, but we walk in
darkness.

10 We grope for the wall like the
blind, and we grope as if we had no
eyes; we stumble at noonday as in the
night; we are in desolate places as the
dead.

11 We groan like bears, all of us;
we moan mournfully like doves; we
look for justice, but there is none__for
salvation, but it is far from us.

12 For our transgressions are multiplied
before You, and our sins testify
against us; for our transgressions are
with us, and as for our iniquities, we
know them__

13 In transgressing and lying
against Yahweh, and turning away
from following our Father, speaking
oppression and rebellion, conceiving
and uttering from the mind words of
falsehood:

14 So judgment is driven backwards,
and justice stands afar off, for
truth is fallen in the street, and equity
cannot enter.

15 Yes, truth; the Law, is suppressed;
and he who departs from evil;
upholds the Law, is accounted as mad;
makes himself a prey! Yahweh saw
this, and He saw the evil that there
was no justice in the last days.

Jam 4:8 Draw near to Yahweh, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded

God so loved you that He sent His only begotten Son that when you believe in Him, you will not perish but will have ever lasting life.

You aren't the only person who has sinned. We all have sinned. Some, more greatly than others.

Jesus said that to see the Kingdom of God, you must be born again (John3). So? This is spiritual birth. And this takes believing in your heart that Jesus shed His blood on the cross for remission of sins (even the worst of torturing an innocent person to death). This takes believing in your heart that Jesus raised victorious over death for you. So you can raise up like Him in resurrection day complete. But having faith isn't enouph. You have to receive it. You receive it by an act of faith. By confessing out loud Jesus Christ your Lord & Savior. And believing in your heart He raised from the dead. Confession is an act of faith. Reach up to God & receive this. God gives you His Holy Spirit who is with you forever. This is the seal of God on all who are born of God, Gods way, and not mans way.

The sin the Holy Spirit convicts the world of is not believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior. So? Just repent to God for not believing in Jesus. Then confess Jesus Christ your Lord & blieve in your heart His Shed blood washes away your sins & that He raised from the dead for your justification.

A miracle happens. You are not the same person anymore. Water baptism represents this. The old man dies, sins are washed away by His redeeming Blood, The new man comes up alive forever more in Christ Jesus. Your slate has been wiped clean.

So, we will sin again. So, we need to confess the sin when we recognize we did it. Confess your sin & He (Jesus) is faithful & just to forgive you your sins & cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

How does the Holy Spirit wash us. We need to be obedient & wash in the Word of God. Renew our mind in the Word of God. A lot of our sins are because of wrong thinking (false concepts, lies). Faith comes by hearing & hearing a word about Christ / God. So, hear the Pastor preach the Word of God. Hear yourself speak the Word of God. Build up your most holy faith praying in the Spirit.

Remember you must trust God to be true to His Word. That God loves you & sent His Word to heal us. Without faith, it is impossible to please God for those who come to God must believe God Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. So? You are speaking doubt when you think God won't forgive you. His Word is written that if you confess your sin, He is Just & faithful to forgive you... 1Jn1:9.
