This is the last year that the famous Coney Island Astroland Park will be in business. The area is under construction to do away with low-income projects, pushing out the poor and for construction of CO-OPS, high rise hotels and casinos.

i already cried my eyes out when i found out
and i will cry my eyes out again when they destroy astroland
i will never forget my memories of going there every year
i grew up in coney island!!
i wont ever forget the first time i rode that worm ride in astroland lol...

My view is that Coney Island cannot go goodbye cuz I think that the City will stop Thor from building new glizy park. I love Coney Island. I will miss it and I will cry forever.

I grew up running to Coney island every summer, so many childhood memories are gonna die once they tear down Astroland. It's heartbreaking, that's all i have to say.
