my brother had his removed and after drinking alcohol (after about 3-6 weeks - I do not remember the specifics now - it could have been a few months), he got violently ill. It was bad enough that the doctor had to give him something for it.

Now, he only has an occasional glass of wine - I never see him with anything else anymore.

Removing the gall bladder has become common place now by doctors. They are totally IGNORANT for doing this to people. It is easier for them to do this than to fix the underlying problems that will allow you to have a healthy body instead.

Now that you've chosen to listen to these idiots, you will not be able to drink like you used to. Your fats will not be digested as nature intended and you will face a life of struggling with weight issues, Chloesterol problems, and any fat digestion.

The bile from the gall bladder is sent to the intestines when fat is present, but with out it, the liver will be sending the bile to the intestines continuously, whether fat is there or not and when you eat fat or oil, you will most likely not get enough bile to digest the fats and they will be toxic to your system.

Thank you doctor.

Most gall bladder issues are a result of poor diet, liver problems, and large intestinal issues. These problems are still there and now without a gall bladder, you will not feel the pain, but your body will still be creating the problems and congratulations, you have now become a statistic. You are one of the 53% chronically ill people in the U.S. This statistic is from the CDC.

Thank you doctor.

I suggest you dump this doctor and all involved in deciding to take the gall bladder out and find a good doctor that will help you manage the problems you are having and going to have.

good luck to you

You just had major surgery. You must have been told to avoid certain food and drink. You must know your body needs to heal long after you leave the hospital. You must know this answer, already. Stay healthy!
