ok so me and a few friends are having this argument about smirnoff and budlight/budweiser. there all 5% beer which in my mind means if i drink 12 smirnoffs and get drunk it will take 12 buds to get me drunk.

my friend says that smirnoff is ***** beer and it takes way more to get you drunk.

if you have the same ammount of food in your stomach, and you drink them at the same pace...do they get you drunk at the same speed?

Being a minor I don't have any experience with getting drunk or what is contained in specific alcoholic beverages but, if one beer is diluted with more "junk" yet has the same amount of alcohol as another beer, it will take longer for all of the alcohol to separate and be absorbed into your body. Of course this is only speculation.

Law sets forth what "drunk" is, and it's crazy to think that a guy my size, 6'2", 240, can go out, have one beer at dinner and probably blow the .08 here in Ohio and yet not feel any of the side effects of even a remote buzz. With that said, alcohol effects us all based on size, tolerance, and metabolism. If Bud (you should really try some imports that are, let's say, higher octane in terms of ABV), and Smirnoff both contain 5% ABV, then it is pretty evident that the alcohol contents are identical, thus answering your own question that if it takes you 12 Buds to get looped, then it would take you an equal amount of Smirnoff. The difference between the two is simple. Bud is a lager beer, and Smirnoff is a malt liquor beverage...what you drink depends on what taste you're wanting to achieve. However, alcohol content is measured the same way in all beverages.

actually any malt beverage like Smirnoff will get you more drink and quicker than beer. Because it is loaded with sugar and sugar reaches your blood much quicker than alcohol does, Smirnoff will hit you faster then beer will. As to what buzz lasts longer, I'm not sure but Smirnoff does make you feel more sick because it is loaded with sugar and calories.

The typical equation is that 1 beer is equal to 1 oz. of hard liquor. As to getting "smashed" that would depend on your body mass and tolerance to various alcoholic beverages. The human body can dissipate the above in approx. 4 hrs.

in all my experiance, I by far think that Smirnoffs get you buzzed faster. Probably because some people drink them faster and the faster you drink the more you consume.

Hey, Smirnoff is Vodka...if you are talking about that crap in little bottles that only a 15 year old girl would drink then that crap is malt liquor..read the label. It isn't Beer.

Bud is nothing more than cold cat piss anyway.

Try drinking real alcohol when your Mommy isn't watching.
Your question makes you sound like a teenager at best.

yes it can. theoretically.

smirnoff is packed with sugar and, in most cases, some kind of artifical juice.it can get you just as drunk, but youll fill up quick and have a pretty bad headache from all the sugar.

just drink beer
