Dry dog food does NOT help clean teeth, nor does wet food cause tooth decay.
It is actually good to mix some wet in with your dogs dry food on a daily basis.
Just as with dry food only feed a good quality wet food
Wet food contains more meat and less carbs then dry food.It is also better for digestion then an all dry diet. It is more natural for dogs.
It is unbelievable how much outdated thinking and knowledge there is about foods, feeding & canine nutrition.

Dry food is definitly the best option as i was told by the vet. The only reason dogs like the canned food is because they have a poor sense of taste so they go by smell and as you know, canned food has a strong smell. However, it is a waste of money because something like 70% of it is water. Dry food is cheap, not messy and it great for your dog's teeth and breath...however, dont get a really cheap one and make sure the one you buy is specifically for puppies because they need more nutirents etc than older dogs. good luck with your pup!

I would suggest you give your puppy only dry food. Reasons...because it is better for his teeth and dry food can be left down for longer periods of time than the canned. When he becomes a "senior" he may need the canned because of his teeth, but try to keep his teeth healthy by giving him only the dry food.

You can if he is not eating enough of his dry food but mix dry and wet so he doesn't get the runs. Wet is good if your dog is not eating enough and is under weight. Wet food helps the dog eat more dry food so he gets bigger. But get a high quality dry food and wet food. Wet foods contains more meat but dry food is good for the dogs teeth. When my dog was a puppy I mixed his food with wet because he was a picky eater. My German shepherd is very healthily HUGE he weighs 137 lbs. Wet food is good if you want your dog to get more bigger.

dry food gets the plaque off of their teeth. however, if you'll notice that your dog doesn't chew up his food very well, it isn't good for their intestines since its hard food. giving him canned food is good also since it will digest easier but it won't get the junk off his teeth. so i'd say every other night give him canned food, and alternate between that and dry food. hope this helped!

in my opinion i think dry food is healthier and more easy on the digestive system. I woundnt keep switching foods but if you want to switch to one or the other, just mix a little in their food each day and gradually get them used to it.

Dry food only.. Wet food is not good.. It rots their little teeth..Good Quality dog food and your dog won't have a problem eating it all up. Wet food is for dogs that hate their cheap food.. makes it taste better to them, fools them into thinking that it's quality food..

Changing a pup food will give the pup the runs. If your pup is eating well don't change the diet at all.
