Earlier today, I asked a question about the Anti-Christ, and I was surprised to see that nearly half the responses insisted that this fictitious Bible character currently walks among us. I've heard that Aleister Crowley was the Anti-Christ, and that Hitler was. More recently, George W. Bush and Barak Obama have been offered up as candidates for this distinction on YA. Any others?

Not being christian, I don't really believe in a single person being "The Anti-Christ," but I think the concept is relevant. There will always be people who embody the opposite virtues of Christ, enriching themselves at the expense of others, attacking the defenseless, seeking to evade laws for self-profit.
One thing christians (as a group) do not seem to understand - if there is one person who is the anti-christ, they won't realize who it is. The person will, most likely, rally christians, until their beliefs can be twisted to his/her own ends. We are talking about a person hand-picked by Lucifer, after all - the most beautiful angel, and an expert at deception. If such a person ever existed, they would not have a huge pentacle tattooed on their face, but instead would be charismatic leader.

For every good there is a bad. We as humans are always trying to fine the line between good and evil but there is no evil. The evil we are looking for is within our self and we are too blind too see it as it is. We believe that there is some kind of anti-Christ, but yet for some of us Christ hasn't even appeared yet.

For those don't believe that there is a Christ how can there be an anti-Christ.

Believe in what you want to, but for the Christians out there if god is all powerful he has no rival and if that is the case the anti-Christ will be his son as well.

for as long as there has been Christianity and a bible (about 400 AD), there have been those accused of being an "anti-Christ." It comes from a very vague, well-written book collected for the original bible...Revelations. This book is written in such a way as to be open to almost any interpretation applied to it. It is just mystic enough to convince many that it is real, it is real enough to encourage a huge waste of time trying to prove any part of it. Nonsense.

No-though I have thought to do so on many ocassions, under many influences. My belief now is that if you are addamite in this fools folly, then you are the elected instrument of total annhillation of life as we no it. I so believe that any-one of us has the power to destroy all of us. We are so close to the tipping point that all it will take is a minor infraction of morality to begin a slide that cannot be stopped. This slide has the abbillity to incur a fall rate that cannot be recovered from. All we can do is perhaps slightly slow the inevitable consequence of our ultimate fate.

The Anti-Christ has nothing to do with any of the politicians right now. Anti-Christ will have to be someone that everyone will like and they can be any type of race.

The anti-Christ is a dangerous illusion in the minds of every Christian. This illusion makes fear that can bring out the worst in people in the name of god and religion....

We can keep guessing, but we're not going to know until it's obvious and the end of the world is only five minutes away. But one thing's for sure, I don't want to have to deal with all the chaos he'll bring up when he is here. I hope I'm already dead and in Heaven before that happens.

No, no others.
Anti-Christ may, or may not be alive these days. Scriptures tell us the he will not be revealed until the Holy Spirit is removed from the world. (He is removed when the church is raptured.)
Christians will no know him, and he will present himself as the great Savior who will solve the world's problems.
