At first I thought it was mine because it fell right next to me; So i took it then I realized it wasn't mine. Soon I realized it was someone at the laundry who lost it, they were complaining and talking about it in jamaican [ which is basically english sumwhat]. I
feel like I have sinned because I didn't give them the money. So I came upstairs and prayed [I'm muslim] Idk right now I'mm confused this isn't really a question I guess I'm just venting out my feelings; I feel really guilty. But meanwhile ; what should I do?

You already did the most important thing! Acknowledged that it was wrong and prayed! With my religion God Will Guide Me! That happened to me a few times! Once i was at a drive up bank. When i drove away i realized that i received $700.00 more then i should have. I left and it really bothered me! So i went to the drive-up and returned it! Other times when that happened and i didn't realize it until it was too late to return,I donated the money to a charity! Good Luck!

You are obviously wanting to keep the money and thats why you are using the muslim angle but apparently your muslimness is not complete else you would not have entertained such a thought and we would not have seen you asking this question.

And since you are at your computer, you have kept the money.

No problems at all ..... immoral as it may sound - finders keepers and losers weepers.

However, in the goodness of things and since you know (or have come to know) the person who lost the wallet and you know how to reach him ./ her - it will be nice to go return it. So you found a couple of bucks but its not gonna last a long time.

You will surely not be at peace with yourself and at the time of writing you are not at peace.

I think you should give the money back. Do the right thing. It'll take off a big weight on your shoulders. Seriously. The right thing to do is give the money back. If you can't find the person, or if you don't have enough guts to give the money back, I would say donate it to charity or something like that. That way, the person who lost the money would have been doing a good cause through you. You'll feel better about it that way. I hope everything works out for you.

Go back to the Laundry. If they are still there, give them the money. Let them know it was muddled in your things and you wanted to be sure to return it. If they aren't thee, put it in an envelope and ask the people that work there if they know who the peple were. GIve it to them for Lost and Found and know that you did everything you could to right the wrong.

It's different if you don't know who it is, but you do know so give it back. Actually, you should have given it back when you heard them talking about it. As far as religion and ethnicity is concerned, I personally haven't heard of any religion that condones "finders keeper... loosers weepers" so you should just give it back.

Go back to the laundry and see if he left a name or number to be reached about this money. Hang on to it for a while in case you can find out anything about him. Good luck to you.

Go back downstairs, see if that person is there, and give them their money back. Best thing you can do karmically and for your peace of mind.

Give the money back. How would you feel if you had money that was found by someone and they kept it?

By the way what does their being Jamacian and your being Muslim have to do with it anyway?
