(Ohio Law) Under current law, depending on the circumstances surrounding the violation, the offense of aggravated vehicular homicide is either a felony of the first, second, or third degree. The court is also required to impose a mandatory prison term under certain circumstances.

so depending on if they are going to Charge you with first secound or 3rd Degree. You are looking at anywhere from min of 3 to 5 years.. for the 3rd 2nd 12 to 25years, and the first 25 to life.

Under Ohio law, Aggravated Vehicular Homicide is a 2nd degree felony unless other factors elevate it to a 1st degree felony. It carries a mandatory prison term. I did not look see the actual term, but a felony usually means 1 year or more.

I am sure you will spend some time incarcerated, but the lenght of your sentence will be weighted based on the mitigating and agrevating factors of your past criminal history. However, I don't think you will be going out for a 25 to life like some of the answers indicate. If your mitigating factors are greater than the agravating factors I don't think you'll go away for more than 8 years.

Since there was no intent to commit murder, the charge will not be the maximum...however I would say 5-10 years, serving 2/3 of that.

Having been on the receiving end of a truck colliding with a bicycle I hope the punishment is severe. People ought to know that they are sitting behind the wheel of a weapon when driven at high speed.

Well you have many many years ahead of you to get to know your future cell mate better. My guess would be at least 10 to 20 years.

Aggrivated seems to indicate you were either DUI or on a Suspended License when this happened.
