if she is over 2 years old, then she is plenty old to be in a toddler bed. but do it soon, so she doesn't think the new baby is the reason she got moved into a different bed. good luck and i hope the pregnancy goes well!

I would do it as soon as possible. That way she has time to adjust to the bed before the baby comes and she won't think the baby is the reason why she got put in a bed. She is plenty old enough to be in a toddler bed at 27 months.

You can put your daughter in a toddler bed whenever you think she is ready for one. If you need the crib for your new baby, then you will need to transition your 27 month old daughter before the new baby is born. Don't wait until after the baby is born - there will be alot of changes for your daughter and putting her into a toddler bed after the baby comes is not a good idea. She may even want to be the baby and want to sleep in the crib. Let your daughter pick out her very own sheet set for her new bed and pick out a favorite stuffed animal or doll to sleep with.

I waited until my daughter was 3 before putting her in a toddler bed. We were potty training her and she needed to be able to get out of bed whenever she needed to use the potty. I also have a 1 year old but we bought him his own crib so we didnt have to rush to get our daughter out of her crib.

Some parents wait until there child is either too big for their crib or until they start to climb out.

We had our oldest (who's 4) in a toddler bed at a year and a half. Too afraid that he would climb and fall out of the crib.

i say it depends on your child and how well they sleep and would she stay in the bed all night?

i made the switch at 22 months for my oldest daughter.
she was ready and she loved it.
do it whenever you feel that your daugther is ready.
cribs can hold kids up to 3 years old so you don't have to rush it.
try putting her toddler bed in there with her crib and let her take naps first on bed and crib at night and slowly transition to the bed.
good luck

I would definitely start getting her used to this right away.
If she moves around a lot in bed, there are products out there to shield her from falling out of bed.
You can purchase a bed rail for her.
This item slips between the mattress and protects her from rolling out of bed unto on the floor.

absolutely now! then put that crib up or out of site of your daughter. she is probley pretty attached by now. i would remove all objects they can climb on and put a baby gate at there door to prevent a wandering toddler.

do it now. its really not that hard. you should start by letting her fall asleep in your bed and then putting her in her bed immediately after she's sleep. This will help her to get used to it without forcing it upon her at once. Sure for the first couple of nights she may wake and wanna get back in bed with you but don't let her. you should sit behind her in her bed til she goes back to sleep. she'll get used to it this way without feeling pushed away

Assume she can walk and climb up on things-- any time now she should be ok, hope she is not still in a crib where she can fall out if she climbs over.
