the problem with fat is that there are man different kinds. Saying that there is no trans fat in something doesnt mean that its free from saturated fats. Many diets say to keep the fat down but what we really need to do is eat good fats like nuts. In conclusion I dont know but if you are watching your fats you need to be careful about all the other code names they have for bad fats.

the only trans fats that are not unhealthy are the ones found naturally occurring such as those found in the healthy fat named conjugating linoliec acid or CLA.

trans fats from processed foods like snack cakes, cookies, crackers, etc. should be avoided at all costs.

fatty acids are used to construct the membranes of all cell structures. because of the chemical structure of trans they do not align properly with regular fatty acids. essentially creating holes in the cell membrane. this allows virus, bacteria, etc. to penetrate the cell and cause sickness. this is one of many reasons why those with diets high in processed foods are generally not healthy and get sick frequently.
