When rechargeable batteries first came out overcharging was a problem but technology has fixed that problem

So your battery may be malfunctioning or broken. Have it checked out in a store...it should be free to have it looked at.

Some things you can do to help increase battery life are:
1. Turn down the brightness of the backlight
2. Turn down the duration the backlight stays on
3. Buy a larger battery
4. Send less texts (especially pix and flix msgs)
5. Avoid playing ringtones and videos
6. Keep your phone on vibrate
7. If you have Verizon and do not use Vcast you should turn that off
8. Buy a car charger or extra charger
9. If you do not have service turn your phone off until you do

Hope this helps

It depends on how strong your battery is. If it is older, then it will die faster. Overcharging is a myth in todays world. When you are charging something and it is full, the battery automatically stops charging. It does not make it weaker. And if you use something all day, it weakens the battery life if you have a crappy battery. I suggest getting another batter and have it charged with you as a back up.

in case you have a lithium battery, then the respond is not any, no longer real. the telephone has a can charge/discharge circuit equipped in to sidestep harm to the cellular for over or below can charge. in basic terms a device and not using a can charge/discharge administration circuit would be broken.

bottom line - all batteries go bad.
they have a limit as to the number of times u can charge them.

IMHO, the best thing is to run the battery down then replace it with a charged one and fully charge the rundown battery.
Cell batteries don't develop history but a partial charge counts as a charge and deducts from their charge bank account.

your battery is bad.

get a new one.

well maybe u didnt charge it long enough the first time u charged it..... when u charge an electronic for the first time, you should charge it for a long time..... lets say; the 1st time u charged ur phone... ever, u only charged it for 30min.... that's as long as ur phone is going to last for as long as u have it, even if the 2nd time u charge it for 12hrs...
