Hi! I am trying to grow out my hair and was wondering what type of protective hairstyles everyone uses. My hair is not long enough for a bun yet and braids thinned my hair out (even with a barrage of conditioning).

Sew-ins grew my hair out thicker and longer fast. You can leave them for months at a time, I think getting fewer relaxers and not having to bother your real hair is what makes it grow stronger and thicker.

I know it sounds old fashion ,but I wear wigs. Braids put to much stress on my hair rather putting them in or taking them out. Bonding Glue is not happening. Sew ins is just like a wig only worse because alot of times people cut your hair trying to take out the tracks. I went natural all last year. This month I put in a relaxer my hair grows slow so it is only half way down my neck. But my hair is healthy.

I wear a wig. First I braid my hair (my hair is almost to the middle of my back when straightened out) then put on a satin cap then put on my wig (you never want the wig to touch your hair, the rough fibers will cause your hair to break)... I won't wear a weave because I believe the threads used in sew ins break hair and glue is a huge no-no. Tree braids, box braids add unnecessary weight and pull... so I go the lazy simple way.

truthfully those kinds arent made for our hair type we cant layer our classic God given hair and positioned on it uneven and texture like theirs without working around observing loopy yet while that something you like, get a speedy weave or sewn in weave whether i wouldnt advise this type mutually with your classic hair.you in all probability have questions have self assurance loose to e mail me!!
