I can't stop thinking about him!! We had a great time, slow dancing, talking, flirting. Is there some rule about waiting to call? Do guys just ask for a phone number with no intention of calling?? We are adults here, early 50's in age. I don't want to play games, but don't want to look foolish either. What to do?

You shouldn't have even given him your phone number, just taken his. Then it would be him waiting by the phone instead of you, and it would keep him interested. It puts mystery into the relationship right from the beginning and leave him wanting more. Now he's the one with the key and you're the one waiting on him. Since he does have your number, it would seem anxious to call him and that might be what he's waiting for. Never hand over your power torch that early doll. Wait until he proves he deserves it.

If 50'ish is your real age then you should know that most men will not call within a day or 2 after getting a ladies phone number, unless they are 17 - 18 and want to get freaky. He will wait a few maybe 3 -4 days and then he will contact you. If he really wants to see you again.

I'm an old school sort-of guy myself. I believe you deserve to be courted. Which means, he needs to step up and be a man and call you. If he doesn't call, let it go. It isn't about playing games. It's about knowing what his level of engagement is.

Personally, I can't stand guys who can't make up his mind about a woman. Wishy-washy. Shyness is one thing... but if he could slow dance with you and flirt, he can darn well pull the trigger on a phone number. That's nothing. So if he doesn't call, it means that he just isn't that into you. Sorry. You had a nice night, let it go at that.

Ok so here are the phone rules of first meeting:

1. If he really really really really likes you, he'll call you the first day (AKA Saturday for your situation)

2. If he doesn't want to seem desperate and wants to make a good impression, he'll call you today (Sunday)

3. If he doesn't call you by Monday, call him. Keep it natural and don't ask him why he didn't call you. You guys aren't dating yet so you have no reason to ask that. Set up a simple date like dinner and movies. If he liked the date and is intereseted in you, he'll make more plans with you. But sometimes they are shy and you have to make the move. Remeber, you don't want to seem desperate either.

Wait a few more days. Maybe he's busy. You guys are at the age where you have a lot of responsibilities, like work and family etc.
If he doesn't call by Thursday, call him and ask him if he wants to go to lunch or to a movie on saturday afternoon.
Make it a day date, that way there's no pressure.

No, wait him to give you a call first, and if he give you a call first it means that he is really interested to know you well, it means that theres something differ not only a game or he is flirting with you. Most of guys who are not serious with girls are those who dont matters even a simple thing that girls matters most. Men knew if the girl like them also, isn't? Good luck.

life is to short to play a waiting game give him a call monday night and ask if he had a good weekend. let him know you had a good time meeting him and you hope you can do it again some time. get that message across and if he doesn't ask you out then or by the weekend, lose his number.

Friday night - today is Sunday. Maybe he just got caught up in the weekend. Call him tonight just to say hi and see how is weekend was, I see nothing wrong with that.

no you cannot call him....
if he hasn't called you, it either means he was very busy and forgot to call or he doesn't even want to call..
so if it is the first one, then you still have a chance..
but if it is the second one, i am sorry to tell you that you have to give up this hope...
