MCHenry County Judge to issue a restraining order to prevent the debate. How many illegal immigrants does this Holiday Inn employ and why is it that illegal immigrants can march in our streets, hold rallies and commit all kinds of illegal acts while law-abiding U.S.Citizens have their free speech prevented? Let's get immigration down on the Holiday INNs across the USA and fine them for hiring, harboring, and helping illegal immigrants. Do you think then that their "fear" (which was the reason cited for demanding the restraining order) would then be justified? These illegal immigrants have spat on law-abiding citizens, have tried to do all kinds of things to cause law-abiding citizens to react violently and the citizens have not done so. So, where is the justification for this curtailment of free speech?

There was an article in yesterday's Daily Herald and I believe the meeting was supposed to be yesterday. There were protests that went on anyway at a park along Route 14 between McHenry and Dole Avenues. Those, as I understand went on and the minutemen midwest website has pictures. I'm not a member of minutemen but do believe we need law, order and justice and illegal immigrants should be prosecuted.

There is no justification, I'm quite certain if some racist group like La Raza, or MALDEF or LULAC or MEChA were to make a reservation for the Holiday Inn, to hold meetings, they would be given the green light.
It's time for this kind of discrimination to end.

U.S. citizens should get a lawyer and find out if any of those racist groups were ever allowed to use that Holiday Inn with no charge from the city, if any were, U.S. citizens can file a class action lawsuit against the Holiday Inn Corporation, and the county of McHenry for violation of civil rights laws, and discrimination. And yes, you CAN sue a county and a city, I have done it and won.

You need to read more than the headlines. The Crystal Lake Police Department are the ones that caused the problem by demanding that the Holiday Inn pay $3,500 for "security" for protesters who planned to stand along a busy highway. The Minuteman Project didn't want to pay any more than the Holiday Inn did. The protesters should be responsible for the bill. In the meantime, the judge found the contract for the use of the Holiday Inn to be void because it did not state that the forum was being run by the Minuteman Project, and because the Project refused to pay the security costs agreed to in the contract. The judge therefore told the forum representatives to stay away from the Holiday Inn. There is a free speech issue here raised by the behavior of the Crystal Lake Police Department, and that has to be dealt with. The rest is the correct application of contract law.

I am near Crystal Lake. When was this supposed to have been? Have not heard anything about it. Email me with info if you have any, or where there might be any other sites for debates. Thanks.

Thanks for the additional information. I will keep my eyes open for any demonstrations in the area. I would like to be present to show that I am against the criminal illegal alien invasion.

A harsh crackdown on illegal immigration is definitely needed. It seems like finally the politicians are finally getting the message. Going after businesses seems like the most humane way to get them to leave. Deportation still needs to be a major part of this effort to make things right.
