First off kid, Atheists do believe in something, nothing. They believe it stronger and more passionately then you could because they don't have much to go on to begin with. Second, you won't stand beore the "Almighty God" pre-condemned, thats not how it works. It's people like you that give people with real faith a bad name. I hope you find your answers and what your "faith" is really about.

Why do all of you holies think it's either Atheism or Christ ? What if you're praying to the wrong god ? Why don't you play it safe, and pray to Vishnu ? Over a billion people do, are they all wrong, while you're right ?
Will you be sure to have a sword in your hand at the moment of death to insure Valhalla ?
Christ in minority "god" . There are four or five times more people who do not believe that Christ is a god, than do.
So don't take foolish chances. Believe in the right god, whichever one that is.

Do you really think that the atheist's only choice is Christianity? I don't believe in Christ but I do believe in Spinoza's God. There's also Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism....all of those religions believe in something. Is there room in your little world for people who are not just like you? If not, then stay in it and don't venture out.

Is there any way that the good people at Yahoo! can come up with some kind screening device to stop people from using Pascal's Wager? I'm really tired of seeing it. Maybe every time a questioner or answerer refers to the wager, they could be directed to a philosophy website.

If really the Atheist faces Jesus , he alone will go to heaven and the those who blindly beleived in Jeus without proof will be consigned to hell by Jeus himslef .the atheist being an intelligent man had asked for proof of something that you say existing .He is right and honmest in his belief ,so he deserves heaven.
I am not an athiest .but I have proof of god and know what god ios and see god everywhre and around me all the time , in me and out of me too.
I can show god to you too . I appreciate an athieist who demand proof for anything ..

I knew this question was from you before I saw the picture.
Because you can't FORCE belief hon. If someone held a gun to your head and said "Believe in Islam or I will blow your brains out" you might be able to SAY you believe it, but actually believing isn't a matter of choice.
This is Pascals Wager. It is asked every single hour on here. Check out wikipedia for a good rebuttal to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascals_wager (the rebuttal starts about 1/4 of the way down the page)

Religion shouldn't be based on what ifs. So some people don't believe in God and some people do. It's their choice but no one should become a christain Just because they're afraid that there actually is a God.

yeah well answer me this.....what are you going to do if YOUR the wrong one. nobody knows what is really out there. there are a few educated guesses (evolution) and some less educated guesses (christianity, catholicism, etc.) but really no one has any real clue! i believe in open mindedness. and anyway your 'god' is really just what you dont know about life and cant explain. it is your ignorance and you placed it upon a pedestal. so dont think about everyone else being wrong, think what if YOUR wrong. or what if everyone is wrong? you dont know that your right. and you wont until you die.

What you are suggesting is a derivative of Pascal's Wager. Blaise Pascal's suggestion has been disproved for centuries (see references below).
It is not rational to believe in "something" for the just in case scenario. Do you really think your god is easily fooled by such a shallow belief? If so, do you think this god is worthy of belief?
