ON the far right, they teach The Doctrine of the Nicolaetins, which is the Doctrine of George Bush. When will people notice that "The emperor has no clothes", just like the fairy tale.
This man is outwardly evil, and hollow inside. The churches that are preaching prosperity are most likely measuring it by the Bush standards, which state that the economy has never been better, and that we are winning in Iraq.

It states that the wealth of the wicked will be given to the righteous. The wealth is not to hoard, but to pass on to those that are preaching the gospel, missionaries and to help the widows and orphans. I hope that the person that won the 300 million is a faithful born again Christian and will share what has been given to him/her. Prosperity teaching should be about giving not keeping or buying nice material items. He said He would meet our needs. Is this not just food, clothing, and a place to live, not a mansion?

Greed. They preach prosperity so you'll tithe a sizable amount to their coffers. Jim Bakker preached this very thing for years and years. However, he repented when the IRS and the US Attorneys came a knockin'.
Funny thing what jail time can do to ones religous beliefs. Threaten to throw 'em in jail and their tune will change.

Because many Christian sects, not all of them to be fair, are quite corrupt and decadent. If Christ were to come today, he'll have to kick out the greedy merchants from these churches again. Any wonder why Islam is advancing? And I am no Muslim, but understand them.

People want to hear the glory of materialism. 2 Timothy 4:3 shows people will not accept helpful teachings, but will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled. This is precisely what is meant by this teaching.

it's the health and welfare church huh? Self sacrifice is not the "in" thing now days, didn't ya know? That's why homosexuality is running rampant---nothing is held back , not even perversion. We have a RIGHT to do anything we want to do and people who say things to the opposite are just plain intolerant. (what a bunch of crap huh?)

My pastor preached sacrifice today and requested that we all use our talents to serve others in the community.

Prosperity is NOT promised to us by God. He DOES promise to fulfill all our needs (IF we seek HIM and His righteousness FIRST) but that doesn't mean financial needs...we have LOTS of needs spiritually; emotionally.
Prosperity preaching is BOGUS BS.

agree but seeing so much sacrifice in the wars they might want to draw your attention to something else.
