He was one of the original 12 apostles whose greed lead him to steal from the cash box of the apostles and betrayal of Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, fulfilling another prophecy about a betrayer's price.
Though he felt bad over this, he never was repentant. Never asked for forgiveness. So gave up any chance of a resurrection.
